With over twenty-seven years of diverse nursing experience, particularly in Emergency Room and Mental Health settings, such as St. Elizabeth Hospital, Providence Hospital, and the Psychiatric Institute of Washington. Hello! I’m Eunice Virgen, a licensed clinical social worker based in Los Angeles, CA. For the last nine years, I’ve worked in public mental health programs with individuals who are living with chronic mental illnesses. For the last three years, I have been in private practice where I specialize helping women of color process life stressors, mental health problems, and generational traumas, so they can be more intentional in creating the life they desire.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I started my career in pediatric intensive care, which sparked my love for supporting people of all ages through hard times. I now work with both kids and adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, mood changes, ADHD, autism, and substance use concerns.
I believe that meaningful change happens through connection, trust, and collaboration. As a therapist, I see us as partners in the therapeutic process—working together to better understand your experiences, build on your strengths, and create lasting change. I am deeply committed to providing culturally responsive care that honors each person's unique story, values, and identity. I truly love the work of psychotherapy and consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they heal, grow, and move toward the life they want to live.
Welcome. I am glad you are here taking the first step in helping yourself. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor with more than 13 years of experience providing counseling to individuals, couples, and families. I enjoy working with adults, couples, children, adolescents, and families who are ready for change, need support during difficult times, or looking for someone to talk with for peace of mind.
I bring empathy, humor, and a down-to-earth style to create a space where you can feel safe, seen, and truly yourself. Therapy should feel like a real conversation, not a script. I value connection and will support you with compassion—while also gently challenging unhelpful patterns. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back and help you move forward.
My background is in all aspects of mental health and substance abuse.
