Great to meet you! I am Dr. Shannon Howard, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LCPC, LPC) for the states of DC & MD, a Certified Life Coach, and an Author. I have been helping individuals, children, couples, and families navigate grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, adjustment, depression and more for over 24 years.
My educational background consists of a dual Master's in both Counseling and Clinical Psychology. I received my first master's at Towson University in 2000, a second Masters and Doctorate in 2008 and 2010 from The American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. Hi, I’m Marli. I’m a licensed social worker in Maryland, Virginia, and DC, and I enjoy working with children, teens, and adults. I have a special interest in supporting college students and young adults as they navigate the challenges, transitions, and self-discovery that often come with this stage of life. Originally from Maryland, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Maryland and my Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan. Outside of work, I love spending time with my dog, traveling, getting creative through arts and crafts, and being around family and friends.
Hello my name is Tam and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and move toward healing, stability, and personal growth. I believe that everyone deserves to be heard, understood, and supported without judgment.
My clinical approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I work collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths, explore patterns that may be holding them back, and develop practical tools for coping and change. I strive to create a safe, respectful space where clients feel comfortable being open and authentic.
I have experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and complex social stressors. My background in social work allows me to view each person holistically, considering emotional, psychological, social, and environmental factors that impact well-being.
Above all, I believe in meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them at their own pace. My goal is to empower clients to build insight, resilience, and confidence as they work toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.
I’m Ine Saka, PMHNP-BC, FNP, and founder of Empathy Wellness Center, currently serving Maryland and Virginia. As a board-certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner, I provide compassionate, holistic, evidence-based care for children, adolescents, and adults. Howdy! My name is Karly Trotter, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. My practice helps pre- and postpartum parents, persons with OCD and anxiety, and neurodivergent folks handle feelings of stress, executive dysfunction, intrusive thinking, and self-doubt.
