I have been a therapist for about twenty years and have worked with children, adolescents and adults. I most often work with clients that have anxiety, depression, adhd, mood disorders, and history of trauma.
Welcome to my page! I'm a licensed clinical social worker and have over ten years experience working with individuals of all ages navigating life's big moments, toxic stress, and building healthy relationships. I'm a firm believer in the power of individual and collective healing in bringing about systemic change and see therapy as a radical step toward a more just society. Healing is a rebellious act toward a better world; thank you for being part of the movement.
I view therapy as an opportunity to give yourself the time and space to discover how to heal, and how you want to continue to grow.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with individual adults who are seeking support with past and present trauma, depression, anxiety and worry, cultural and identity issues, relationship issues, grief and loss, social-emotional issues, and family conflict.
Hi there, my name’s Ephraim and I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 20+ years of experience. My specialties consist of relationships, men’s issues, career counseling, and psychosomatic illnesses.
Whether it's individuals or couples, I'm happy to get to work with whomever comes my way. I do my best to facilitate a warm, trusting environment. I received my Bachelors degree in Child Psychology, working initially with the adolescent population before transitioning over to adults. I then received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Looking forward to meeting with you soon!
Hey there! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor based in New Jersey and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor based out of Maine. I graduated from Rutgers University with a Master’s of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling in Clinical Mental Health. I attained my Approved Clinical Supervisor and Certified Clinical Supervisor in 2023. I've always worked on building a working and therapeutic alliance with my clients. Rapport building is really valuable to me!
As an Asian American & combat veteran, I know firsthand the weight of trauma, transitions and the unique challenges men face when carrying invisible wounds. My practice is dedicated to serving veterans, first responders, and others who have experienced trauma, as well as, men navigating identity, relationships, and resilience. I strive to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and supported without judgement. I bring a blend of dividends-based therapies and specialized in training to help clients heal and grow. I utilize CBT-I to address sleep issues, IFS, and ACT to help clients heal.
For couples, I bring my Level II Gottman Method training to support partners in rebuilding trust, improving communication, and navigating conflict in healthier ways. Whether you are facing the aftermath of combat, the pressures of first responder work, or the complexity of men’s issues, therapy is about developing practice skills and exploring deeper healing.
I know what it’s like to feel the pressure to “tough it out” or stay silent. Therapy with me is about creating a space where you don’t have to. If you’re ready to explore a path forward-whether in individual or couples therapy- I’d be honored to walk with you.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Mental Health Therapist in Maine
Searching for therapists in Maine starts with finding someone whose training matches what you want support with. Across the state, therapy needs and available therapists can vary between larger communities and rural areas. You may be looking for care related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, grief, or major life changes. As you compare Maine therapists, look for listed specialties, therapy approaches, and experience with concerns like yours. Bios can also show whether a therapist uses approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, or trauma-informed care.
Location and format can also shape your search for a Maine therapist. If you live near Portland, Augusta, or Bangor, you may find more in-person options nearby. In smaller towns or rural areas, virtual therapy can expand the number of therapists available to you. You can narrow your search by appointment availability, whether a therapist is accepting new patients, free phone consultations, and session format. Reading profiles before booking can help you understand how a therapist describes their style, what sessions may look like, and whether their schedule fits yours.
The cost of therapy in Maine varies, and using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs. Headway helps you search for Maine therapists who take insurance, review estimated out-of-pocket costs before you book, and schedule directly when you are ready. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, and coverage depends on your location and specific plan. You can browse therapists, review bios, check your insurance, and book care that matches your needs.
