Hello! My name is JoAnna and my primary specialty is trauma. I am certified in EMDR and am an EMDR consultant for other EMDR Therapists. I also specialize in domestic violence, narcissistic abuse recovery, addiction, mental health (bipolar, depression, anxiety, ADHD), Dissociation and Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), chronic illness, spiritual/religious abuse recovery. At the same time, I believe therapy should help create meaningful change, and I am comfortable respectfully challenging clients when it can help them recognize patterns, develop new perspectives, and move toward their goals.

My background includes military service prior to becoming a therapist, which has influenced my ability to remain calm during difficult situations and appreciate that people can experience the same circumstances from very different perspectives. I ultimately chose this profession because I value genuine human connection and the opportunity to help people better understand themselves, develop practical skills, and build lives that feel more manageable and meaningful.
