I provide telehealth services to clients, working with young adults and young adults specializing in anxiety and depression. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Feminist Therapy to help clients challenge unhelpful thought patterns, explore the impact of societal influences, and make meaningful progress toward their goals.

I earned my Master's in Counseling and PsyD at Fuller Theological Seminary. I have had the privilege of working in hospitals, universities, private practice, and community mental health settings, and these experiences have given me a broad perspective on the unique difficulties facing individuals. My clinical training includes a specialty in spirituality and religious experiences (i.e., religious trauma and deconstruction). I work with individuals 18+ and help individuals who are navigating life transitions and/or relationship difficulties.

I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from University of Georgia. With over 20 years of experience, my background includes child welfare, medical social work, and family and individual therapy. Using a person-centered and solution-focused approach, I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, premarital counseling, and life transitions while building healthier coping skills and emotional wellness.

Tameka Dennis is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has an office located in Murfreesboro TN. Tameka received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology 2011 from Tennessee State University. She received her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University. Tameka started her private practice in 2018. Specialties and Expertise includes Women Issues, Marital and Premarital, Depression, anxiety, Men's issues, grief, self-esteem, stress, and relationship issues.

My mother taught me and my brothers from a very young age not to ever hate anyone. Her words have been invaluable to me. My father instilled in us boys a mantra that too has served me well. He said to us innumerable times "Listen." Neither of my parents were strict disciplinarians, and they never used corporal punishment. But, from boyhood, through adolescence and into young adulthood, my brothers and I could count on a well-deserved lecture and extra chores if either of my parents ever caught us breaking one of these rules. My parents' philosophy helped steer me into my life's work, and I employ their beliefs daily in my career as a therapist. I believe people seek counseling so they can be accepted, validated and heard. I committed to myself long ago to never hate and to always listen to my patients/clients/consumers, regardless of their behaviors.Validation, empowerment and dignity are what I strive to create, cultivate and reap in every therapeutic alliance into which I enter.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with a diverse background from working with military, children and family’s, substance abuse, mental health and other populations. I graduated with my masters degree in 2016 from the University of Southern Mississippi located in Longbeach Mississippi after my military service. I like for anyone that I and providing services a service to feel safe and open.
