I am Dr. Robinette Muse, licensed professional counselor with a practice in Newnan,Georgia. I have practiced for twenty seven years and have been in the behavioral health field 40 years. My primary specialty is trauma and grief counseling and I treat ages four to ninety.

I hold a master’s degree in counseling and have worked in a variety of settings, including schools, crisis centers, inpatient, and outpatient care. I draw from Attachment Theory, ACT, CBT, Mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices to create a space where healing and lasting change can happen.

I specialize in evidence-based treatments for patients suffering from anxiety, OCD, Depression, and trauma related disorders. These treatments are more effective and efficient than traditional therapy because they directly target symptoms. I provide specific exercises aimed at breaking behavioral patterns that maintain symptoms. Traditional psychotherapy emphasizes gaining insight which in itself often does not lead to symptom reduction. Changing what you do will you change how you feel.

Sometimes the hardest part of therapy is showing up before you even know what you want out of it. If you're feeling stuck, frustrated, or like something needs to change but you can't quite name what, that's exactly where we start. I work with teens, adults, and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, anger, and the kind of life experiences that feel too big to sort out alone.
