I have been a counselor for more than 30 years. I remain passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and believe that genuine caring is an essential element to an effective counseling relationship. Over the years I have worked with clients with significant trauma and loss. I consider it a privilege to stand with another individual as he or she resolves great pain. I specialize in treating clients with trauma, relationship issues, and borderline personality disorder.
My name is Caleb Hoover and I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida with over six years of experience in the field of mental health. I was awarded my masters in counseling at UCF in 2022. Since then, I have worked in community mental health specializing in working with individuals and families no matter where they are in life.
I’m a psychiatrist who specializes in providing integrative care to foster inner discovery and facilitate tangible change for all of my patients. To me, this means utilizing evidence-based psychotherapeutic methods with medication management as appropriate for achieving personal goals and inner wellness.
Personally and professionally, I pride myself on my rapport with everyone that I encounter. I have genuine and unconditional respect and patience for others. I remain objective and non-judgmental, while still developing close working relationships that are productive and challenging. I specialize in improving thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and outcomes.
I enjoy working in music production, and share music therapy exercises often. I look forward to delving into any interests that you are looking to pursue. It is very important to discover your talents and develop confidence in articulating and communicating thoughts and feelings. These can be great coping skills, recreation, or even a potential career.
Elizabeth Lerner received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Communications and Sociology from the University of Miami in 1993 and earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Florida International University in 1995. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and retired nurse with more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, social work, and behavioral health. Born in Texas and raised in Brazil and Chile, I’ve spent much of my life moving between cultures. I provide therapy in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and bring that multicultural perspective into my work.
I work with adults navigating anxiety and overthinking, depression, relationship difficulties, narcissism, grief and loss, caregiver stress, aging, identity concerns, and major life transitions. I also provide LGBTQ+ affirming therapy and help who want to create a meaningful life on their own terms and figure out what you want the next chapter of their life to look like.
I have a particular interest in helping people who have spent years being the dependable one—the partner, parent, caregiver, professional, or person everyone else turns to—and are beginning to ask, “What about me?”
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and my main focus is helping minors and adults address problematic sexual behaviors, men’s issues, and the unique experiences of those who identify as LGBTQ+.
I also work with couples who are navigating the challenges of polyamory and exploring healthy relationship dynamics.
I offer a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive space for clients to explore challenges related to substance use, codependency, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
