I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Calvin College and my Master of Social Work from Barry University. Over the past 10 years, I've worked in outpatient mental health, residential treatment, and healthcare settings, providing therapy to adolescents, adults, older adults, and families experiencing a wide range of emotional and behavioral concerns.

I draw from evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and person-centered techniques to help you develop healthier coping skills, build resilience, and create lasting change.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am passionate about helping individuals recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and move toward the life they envision. My path to becoming a mental health provider grew out of a combination of personal experience, professional curiosity, and a deep desire to help others feel empowered in their own lives. Early experiences with trauma shaped the way I understand healing, resilience, and the importance of having support during life’s most overwhelming moments. While challenging, those experiences ultimately planted the seed for what would become my career.

I am deeply interested in the ways people adapt, survive, and make meaning out of hardship. This led me to pursue formal training in trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, along with a commitment to ongoing continuing education. Over more than a decade of practice, I have supported individuals navigating trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, family violence, grief, and major life transitions.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida with over 20 years of experience in mental health. I am fully bilingual English/Spanish. I grew up in Puerto Rico and move to FL about 30 years ago. I have an intense training and experience in Trauma recovery helping victim of violence, illness or accidents. I also have long years of experience working with grief, relationship issues, mental health afflictions like depression, stress and others. I am also trained and enjoy helping neuro atypical people to develop ways of managing life that can work for them. I can work with all ages 6 and up. I have a certification as child/youth mental health specialist. I enjoy painting and encourage the use of creativity to work through emotional pain.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with 28 years of experience partnering with adolescents, adults of all ages and families. I am bilingual so I offer therapy in english and spanish.
