Hi, I’m Renée Rivers, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in South Florida. I specialize in working with individuals, couples, teens, and families navigating trauma, identity, and major life transitions. As a first-generation Haitian-American woman, I deeply understand the cultural and intergenerational layers that shape how we relate to ourselves and others. My clinical work is grounded in empathy, accountability, and authenticity, I create a space where you don’t have to explain “everything” because I hold space for complexity. I am especially passionate about helping clients unlearn survival patterns that no longer serve them and redefine success, connection, and rest on their own terms.

I’ve worked in school settings, community mental health agencies, and now lead my own private practice, Reflective Rivers Therapy & Consulting. I hold a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counseling with a specialization in Couples and Family Therapy.

I’m a licensed therapist and Afro-Latina dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater self-awareness, compassion, and confidence. As someone born in the Dominican Republic, I understand the importance of culture, family, identity, and the experiences that can shape how we understand ourselves and our mental health.

My work focuses on supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, and challenges related to identity and self-esteem. I also have a passion for making mental health care more accessible and culturally responsive, particularly within Latin, Black, and Brown communities where the stigma surrounding mental health exists.

It's difficult making the first phone call, booking an appointment and admitting you need help. Whether it's depression, anxiety, a mood disorder or trauma, it's frightening to admit that everything isn't how you want it to be and you don't have all the answers. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of nursing experience. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and have worked in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Jackson Memorial Hospital, and Baptist Health South Florida. I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I treat conditions including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, trauma, and substance use. As a bilingual provider in English and Spanish, I am committed to making compassionate mental health care more accessible.

My name is Dr. Perpetua Ezeh-Aideyan, a Board-Certified Psychiatrist, and I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or stuck. Some have tried therapy or medication before; others are reaching out for the first time. What they truly want is to feel like themselves again—to find peace, clarity, and stability. I’m here to offer compassionate, professional support and to walk alongside them on their path to healing and growth.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Florida International University. I obtained a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University and completed both a master’s and doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Albizu University. I gained predoctoral internship training at University of Central Florida and a postdoctoral fellowship at Jackson Health System in affiliation with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
