I am a bilingual (Spanish) licensed mental health counselor with more than 25 years of experience helping adults and couples. My career began in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I earned my PhD and worked as a licensed psychologist. After moving to the US, I completed a Master’s in mental health counseling at the University of Miami and became licensed to practice in Connecticut.
Welcome! My name is Chaynna Clark and I’m Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I am a bilingual first-generation Afro Latina. I use she/her pronouns.
I have worked in community-based clinics in both Rochester, NY and New York City. I have years of experience working with children, teens, and adults. I’ve supported individuals through a wide range of issues, including, trauma, life transitions, depression, anxiety, cultural identity, self-esteem, and relationship issues.
You have taken a courageous step by looking for support, and I want you to feel
genuinely at home here. Whether you are navigating identity, trauma,
neurodivergence, or something you have not quite found words for yet, you deserve a
therapist who truly gets it. With over 20 years in mental health and specialized
training in LGBTQ+ affirmative care, adult autism, ADHD, and trauma, I bring both
depth and flexibility to our work. I would love to connect with you.
Aligned Counseling & Therapy is for those who are tired of repeating patterns that no longer give them the life or relationships they want. Maybe you overthink conversations, worry about how others see you, struggle to say no, find yourself in relationships that leave you disappointed, or keep having the same argument with your partner or family. Maybe your motivation isn't what it used to be, you don't enjoy the things you used to, or life's changing, or work, school, or everyday life feel overwhelming. Together, we connect the dots to figure out what's not in alignment, and develop tools to help you move toward the life you want.
