With over two decades in Intensive care nursing, I am driven by a passion for helping people heal beyond symptom management. I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care with a whole-person, holistic approach to mental wellness. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, trauma, burnout, stress, and life transitions—with a special focus on women who are used to holding everything together while quietly feeling overwhelmed. I believe that true healing begins when the mind and body are supported in unison; together, I will support your growth from ordinary to Elevated!

As a Missouri Ozarks native, nature and the outdoors have always played a huge part in my healing journey and mental health. Growing up, I was outside any chance I got; riding bikes, riding horses, climbing trees, bird watching, rock collecting, camping, hiking, floating, boating, spelunking, exploring creeks, and enjoying campfires. Nature immersion, movement in nature, outdoor recreation, and horsemanship remain part of my daily practice; and I incorporate these into my therapeutic work wherever possible.
Hi, I'm Alex! I'm excited to get to know you. My friends describe me as a golden retriever, which is energy I think I also bring into therapy. I'm going to be by your side every step of the way.
The connection between you and I will be the most important factor in our work together - it will be my top priority to get to know you as your own person with your unique experiences, thoughts, and feelings.
My non-work time is spent adventuring with my kids, reading, & making bizarre Spotify playlists for any occasion.
I am a licensed clinical social worker in Colorado. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver and I offer CBT, Anger Management, Conflict resolution, Couples Therapy, and Individual therapy services.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I bring both professional expertise and a warm, down-to-earth approach to therapy. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel understood while developing practical, meaningful steps toward healing and growth.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four children, getting lost in a good book, watching sports, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors. These moments help keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of connection, balance, and finding joy in everyday life.
You don't have to navigate life's rough waters alone. Together, we can work toward finding clarity, building resilience, and creating the steady ground you're looking for.
I have worked in the mental health field since 2001 and am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC). While I have extensive training and experience with adolescents and young adults, I also enjoy working with adults, families, and couples. I am trained in EMDR, an evidence-based trauma therapy, along with other trauma related techniques which I incorporate in my counseling work when indicated. I am also a skilled trainer in Motivational Interviewing, adolescent development, developmental trauma, and suicide prevention. In addition, I regularly utilize CBT and DBT skills and interventions as necessary in counseling sessions.
Regarding my philosophy of counseling, Glennon Melton, an author I admire, sums it up best: she describes life as “brutiful.” Brutiful blends the two words, “Beautiful” & “Brutal”, which sums up how we often experience our journeys in life. Life has its beautiful moments, it also has some difficult, hard times. When life feels painful and you need someone to talk to, I am someone who can provide a safe place to feel supported & heard. My goal is to provide a place for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and values in order to better understand yourself. Additionally, I work with you to learn and strengthen healthy coping strategies so the unhealthy ones are less appealing.
My clinical experience and training involves helping those with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, mood instability, anger, conflict, behavior/legal struggles, grief and loss, life transitions such as divorce, and adjustment issues.

I work collaboratively with my clients as a team, moving at a pace that feels right for you. While respecting past experiences and coping strategies, I gently guide clients toward a growth-oriented mindset and utilize evidence-based psychotherapy practices that help you break free from limiting patterns and promote lasting change. Through compassion, collaboration, and clinical expertise, I support clients in progressing toward improved mental health, resilience, and overall well-being.
