Therapy does not have to be rigid; humor is encouraged. We can have fun while applying the best techniques psychology has produced.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a master’s degree and over 20 years of experience working with a wide range of clients and concerns. Over the years, I’ve worked in clinics, run my own private practice, and provided therapy to enlisted Navy personnel and their spouses. For the past five years, I’ve primarily provided therapy through telehealth.
Therapy can sometimes feel unfamiliar or intimidating, especially when you’re meeting a new therapist, but I don’t believe it has to feel that way. I try to create a relaxed, comfortable environment where you can feel like yourself. I bring genuine curiosity, warmth, humor when appropriate, and most importantly, authenticity to my work. I want therapy to feel like a real conversation and a genuine human connection—not like you’re being analyzed or judged.
I’m a licensed psychologist with a background in developmental psychology, neuropsychology, and trauma-informed care. I work with adults navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, chronic pain, brain injury, work-related stress, grief, and difficult life transitions.
I earned my PhD in psychology from Stanford University and have spent much of my career at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, teaching, and clinical care. That background has taught me to look beyond symptoms and understand the whole person, including your experiences, relationships, health, environment, strengths, and the ways you’ve learned to cope.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and earned my graduate degree from Yale University. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked in inpatient psychiatry, psychiatric emergency care, trauma, and critical care. I work with teens and adults with concerns such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders. I also speak English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
I provide a warm, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and begin to understand what may be holding you back. My approach focuses on helping you recognize patterns, build insight, and create meaningful change. I work with individuals and couples and strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and not alone in what you are going through
