I am a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years of experience treating complex chronic conditions, acute medical issues, and a wide range of mental health concerns. My background in the emergency room strengthened my ability to stay calm, think clearly, and support patients through some of their most difficult moments.
I am double boardâcertified as an FNPâBC and PMHNPâBC, which allows me to integrate medical and psychiatric expertise. This means I look at the full picture â hormones, sleep, stress, mood, lifestyle, and physical health â to understand whatâs driving your symptoms.
My approach is compassionate, practical, and evidenceâbased. I take time to listen, explain things clearly, and work with you to create a treatment plan that fits your life. You deserve care that feels supportive, personalized, and focused on longâterm wellness.
If youâre ready to feel more balanced, focused, and in control again, Iâm here to help you get there.
I believe therapy is about empowerment, helping you reconnect with your strengths, build confidence, and create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. Welcome and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. As a licensed therapist practicing in both California and New York, I believe deeply in the inherent resilience and transformative potential within every individual. I earned my Masterâs Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. Throughout my clinical practice, I have supported clients across all life stages in navigating complex emotional challenges, including trauma, anxiety, and depression, while empowering them to cultivate healthy, fulfilling interpersonal relationships.
I grew up in a small town in Hawaii, then came to Southern California and began studying psychology in 2001. I completed my masterâs degree at Fuller School of Psychology in 2010 and served children and families at a community mental health agency for 10 years, also starting a private practice in 2015. While I loved island life, Iâve put down roots here through friendships, involvement in my community, and my love of LAâs cultural diversity.
Iâm a licensed therapist based in California specializing in trauma, anxiety, relationship issues, chronic shame, self-esteem, and attachment wounds. I work with adults who are often highly self-aware yet still feel stuck in painful emotional or relational patterns. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, with an emphasis on helping clients better understand themselves while creating meaningful change. I received my MSW from UCLA and integrate trauma-informed approaches including IFS and EMDR into my work.
