If youβre feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, therapy can be a space to slow down and begin reconnecting with what matters most. I support adults who are navigating lifeβs challenges and want to better understand themselves, their emotions, and the patterns shaping their lives.
My role is to be a steady, supportive presence as you explore your inner world and move toward healing and growth. I strive to create a positive, judgment-free space where you feel safe showing up as you are and beginning the healing process at your own pace.
Bienvenidos! Welcome to My Practice
First off, I want to take a moment to thank you for prioritizing yourself todayβitβs not always easy!
My name is Daniela, a bilingual (Spanish) clinical social worker. When not working, youβll find me enjoying quality time with my loved ones, or sneaking the occasional nap.
I firsthand understand how culture shock, trauma, and grief can deeply affect lives. Thatβs why I dedicated my career to helping others navigate these challenges with support and compassion.
Therapy provides the opportunity for one to become the best version of themselves. I work to help clients understand and identify their own strengths and incorporating coping skills while processing aspects of the past to create an understand to the causes of our behaviors. Helping other work through transitional periods of life such as life transitions, work, relationships, school, etc have also been a part of my clinical skills.
my clients will be cared for and paid attention to
If youβre here, you might be feeling weighed down by stress, sadness, or worry that seems hard to shake. On the outside you show up, get things done, and care for the people around you...but inside, it can feel heavy and exhausting. I want you to know you donβt have to carry that alone.
Iβm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana with over 15 years of experience. My background includes helping adults work through anxiety, depression, and the lingering effects of past hurts. My approach is supportive and down-to-earth: weβll move at your pace, focusing on practical tools and new ways of thinking that can help you find balance, clarity, and peace.
I believe therapy should feel like a safe place where you are truly heard and understood. Together, weβll work to uncover whatβs been holding you back, strengthen your confidence, and build the life you want to live.
I've become very familiar with many aspects of the mental health field. I work with motivated clients willing to take responsibility for becoming well and happy.
My passion has always been helping marriages, families, and relationship. For the past 20+ years, I have specialized in marital relationships, helping people to build the relationships that they truly desire.
My philosophy begins inside the heart of my clients. As a former elementary teacher, I learned the valuable lesson that my clients will never care what I know or had to teach them until they knew I cared about them. This lesson is applicable in so many instances, and especially when I counsel. I enjoy getting to know every client on a personal level. I want to know them as a person, and especially what they enjoy most. That is one reason why I am passionate about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This technique incorporates what clients are interesting in learning about themselves, which is often to engage and discover their true potential, and in doing so, they are more at ease to have meaningful conversations.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor practicing in Texas (67510). I earned a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from Walden University in 2024 and a Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward's University in Austin, TX in 2009. I have 15 years of experience as a substance abuse and child psychotherapist. I am also a Clinical Certified Sand Tray Therapist.
My internship was with the Hays Caldwell Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse's Intensive Outpatient Program for clients who were court mandated to receive treatment.
My dissertation was titled "Designing Organizational Systems to Support Achievement of Performance Goals in Student Mental Health"
