Some of the hardest seasons people walk through happen around the arrival of new life, the slow unraveling of a relationship, or the quiet grip of something they have never said out loud. I work across all of those seasons as a Licensed Professional Counselor serving children, adolescents, and adults.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor based in Texas with over 16 years of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges. My practice has included work with clients navigating depression, anxiety, relationship and parenting concerns, career and academic transitions, OCD, ADHD, and the lasting effects of physical trauma and emotional abuse.
I believe that seeking support is a courageous step toward a more fulfilling life. My role is to walk alongside you—offering guidance, compassion, and tools tailored to your unique journey. If you're ready to begin, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence. I look forward to connecting with you.
My goal is to partner with you in discovering your own, unique, ability to heal. I believe that hope, wholeness, and peace are all possible, but that sometimes we need assistance in finding them. Coping with the reality of our story can be difficult when it is not as we originally wished it to be. Together we can make meaning of your story and find the strength that lies within it. I commonly work with clients who experienced trauma and are looking for liberation from their triggers and negative beliefs about themselves. While I do various types of trauma work, I especially enjoy working with individuals who have childhood trauma, women who have experienced birth trauma, or veterans.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure."
I come from a biopsychosocial approach, while am also trauma-informed. Prior to entering the mental health field, I was a Division 1 College athlete, as well as did post graduate work and studies at Tufts University in nutrition research and physical activity in relation to behavior change.
I am passionate about neuroscience, neuroplasticity, and how the brain forms new patterns. I serve all individuals and ages, with a background in working with neurodivergent clients.
I am a therapist who understands that everyone’s mind works differently. When you know your mind works differently from other people, you need a therapist whose mind works differently too. I have 15 years experience working with:
Neurodiverse folks (adhd, autism spectrum, sensory processing issues, AuDHD), animal people, grief and loss related to pets and people, menopause, elders, introverts, empaths, those experiencing social anxiety, isolation and/or loneliness, chronic health issues, life changes (including menopause) and life purpose. I also have experience working with the Native American community.
Being a "pre-elder", I've led many chapters of my life and have learned from every single one (even the cringey ones). It has taught me to focus on what is truly valuable and fulfilling and how to be comfortable just being me. I hope these things are cultivated in the therapeutic relationship with clients. My own neurospiciness allows me to connect with others that experience the world in a different way than neurotypical folks do, and my love for animals and kindness makes therapy with HSPs, empaths, introverts and animal people more connected as well.
I believe that every person has inherent value, and was uniquely made for this Earth. Most people saw the best in themselves and others, when at some point they were overcome with disappointment, hurt, or other of life's challenges. When this happens they may find themselves asking, "Who is there to listen without judgement?" or "Who can I tell what happened when I think nobody will understand?" These people want to have a life worth living, but feel like it's too much to navigate on their own.
What can clients expect from their first session with you?I'm a strong advocate, and I can help you to advocate for yourself too. I can be a listening ear, a helper, someone to have an open honest dialogue with. I use humor and relationship to help people feel well supported and motivated towards their goals.
Welcome! I'm Cemetrice a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I belive that seeking help takes courage, and my goal is to create a safe, judgement-free space where you feel heard and supported from the very first visit. I earned my MSN from Northern Kentucky University, and I bring over six years of psychiatric experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I currently hold inpatient privileges at three hospitals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, which keeps me connected to full spectrum of mental health care. I work with patients ages 5 and up treating a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and more. My approach combines careful medication management with genuine listening because you're more than diagnosis.
I’m a bilingual, multicultural Licensed Professional Counselor who supports adolescents, teens, parents, adults, couples, and families in both English and Spanish. If you or your child is struggling, or if your family is feeling the stress of anxiety, behavior concerns, school challenges, grief, life changes, or family conflict, I’m here to help.
I also support clients who are dealing with the effects of abuse, including painful memories, anxiety, and past experiences that still feel present today.
As a licensed professional counselor and psychotherapist, my relationship with my client is the most important aspect of the process. I strive for connection and a collaborative spirit. It is always my goal to help the client with their unique and special needs. Whether someone struggles with anxiety, depression, grief, stress, trauma, or general relational issues, I want to develop a plan with them that will be customized to their needs, and specific to what their desired outcome is.
