With over 30 years of experience, I will help you focus on solutions and strengths, create attainable goals and a personalized road map to success. I seek to empower people who aspire to untangle the complexities of their lives. You’re not alone. Get unstuck, to thrive and create a life you love.
Whether you're navigating personal challenges, supporting your child through a difficult transition, or seeking stronger family connections, you don't have to figure it out alone. With a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and over a decade of specialized experience across school, residential, and outpatient settings, I help clients of all ages build resilience and practical strategies for lasting change. Together, we’ll turn complex emotional and behavioral challenges into clear paths forward. My aim is to help my patients feel empowered in and out of sessions.
I have an LISW-S and a degree in Special Education. I have worked for 27 years with various populations in hospitals, outpatient, and school settings. I am trained in many different approaches and use them to assist my clients in achieving goals and improving their life situation. I have special training and experience in the treatment of childhood disorders.
Clients often describe me as flexible, laid back, and easy to talk to. I believe therapy should meet you where you are, not where you feel you “should” be. I know that finding a therapist and beginning the process can feel overwhelming, so my goal is to make getting started feel as comfortable, supportive, and approachable as possible. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I bring a compassionate and grounded perspective to my work with clients. I earned my master’s degree in 2017 and have worked with a variety of individuals navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, stress, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and personal growth. My primary clinical experience has focused on adolescents, young adults, and adults, and I strive to create a supportive space where each person feels understood, respected, and empowered in their healing process.
You may be successful in many areas of your life and still feel stuck in your relationships. Perhaps you and your partner keep having the same arguments, struggle to communicate, or feel increasingly disconnected. Maybe parenting has become more difficult than you expected, or a major life transition has changed the way you relate to the people you love. I work with adults, couples, and parents who are ready to understand the patterns that keep them stuck and create meaningful change. Together, we look beneath the immediate problem to understand what is happening and develop practical ways to respond differently.
As a doctoral-level Clinical Psychologist, I bring extensive clinical, teaching, and research experience to our work. I have trained thousands of therapists, authored more than 100 research articles, and written eight books. Most importantly, I bring that experience into therapy in a way that is personal and relevant to you, tailoring my work to your goals, strengths, and circumstances.
