Welcome to my practice!
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 1998 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and my Master's Degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy in 2001 from UNLV as well. I have been seeing clients in private practice for over 25 years. I have been an AAMFT Approved Supervisor for over 15 years. I have worked in many capacities, including school counseling, teaching, juvenile justice, and community agency work. In April 2023, I began working as the Clinic Director at UNLV's Center for Individual, Couple, and Family Counseling at Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. I continue to maintain a small private practice and supervise state interns in MFT and LCPC.
I have expertise in CBT, DBT, ABFT, EFT, and EMDR. I use a combination of attachment-based and trauma-informed theories, which provide strong foundations for healing and skill-building.
Hi, my name is Maria Krause, I specialize in treatment of mental health including bi-polar, depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, and gambling addiction. I'm Russ! As your therapist, it is my goal to see you become a better version of yourself. Asking for help is not easy for many, and you're to be commended for taking that first step. Life's challenges can be difficult to navigate, and everyone needs some help from time to time. I have seen a multitude of clients of all ages with diverse backgrounds. Being a good listener and having a non-judgmental approach are two of the things people ask for most in a therapist. With me, you will get both of those things! I am always present when my clients are experiencing stressful life challenges. My areas of expertise include Depression, Anxiety, Men's Health, Trauma, PTSD, Grief Issues, and Couples Therapy, I am specifically very experienced and specialized with Anxiety Disorders. I use a Cognitive Behavioral and Humanistic approach to help my clients bring out the best in themselves, but am also able to help those who may need to be in therapy more short-term with Solution-Focused therapeutic approaches. I like to use humor, challenging questions, and a direct approach. I think that growth and progress come from addressing the difficult issues head-on, but we can also make therapy a little more fun along the way.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW). I have worked in the mental health field since 2013, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings and with clients from diverse backgrounds and clinical needs.
My areas of focus include trauma, anxiety, and interpersonal concerns. As a bilingual therapist, I also recognize the important role that culture, family, and personal experiences can play in how we understand ourselves and navigate life's challenges.
When life feels overwhelming and you’re tired of trying to “hold it all together” on your own, therapy can offer a place to pause, feel understood, and find a clearer way forward. I am the owner and director of Monarch Therapy, and as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor I work with individuals, couples, and families to address a variety of emotional and mental health issues. I have worked with adults, children, adolescents, and families in a range of settings for over twenty years, and as a mental health therapist for more than 15 years. Areas of special interest and training include EMDR; post-traumatic stress disorder; trauma-based cognitive behavioral therapy; mood disorders and anxiety; and navigating life transitions.
Willie A. Stewart, LCSW, LCADC, CDVC, is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm whose commitment to service first emerged in the Marine Corps. Following honorable discharge, he earned a BSW and MSW from UNLV and achieved licensure as a Clinical Social Worker and Alcohol & Drug Counselor, as well as certification in Domestic Violence Counseling. Driven by continual professional growth and community dedication, Mr. Stewart founded W.A.S. Therapy and Wellness—anchored by the principle of “Willingly Achieve Success”—to provide trauma-informed, solution-focused care. His extensive clinical experience spans social work, mental health, family, relationship, military veterans, addiction treatment, and domestic violence intervention, equipping him to guide clients toward sustainable wellness.
I believe healing begins in a space where you feel safe and understood. My approach is compassionate and grounded in strong clinical experience, guided by genuine care and respect for each person’s story. I bring a calm, steady presence to every session and see therapy as a collaborative process, one that helps you build awareness, strength, and lasting change.
