I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) with advanced training in trauma and mindfulness. Before opening my private practice, I worked in forensic and community settings supporting clients involved with the justice system, those affected by interpersonal violence, and people navigating substance use and recovery.
My practice focuses on trauma, addiction, and personality-related challenges, with additional experience addressing mood instability, codependency, identity development, and relationship patterns. I provide inclusive, affirming care for LGBTQ+ clients and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
I approach therapy with curiosity, humor, and honesty, offering space to explore patterns, build self-trust, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Hi, I’m Chris Brace (he/him), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and LGBTQ+ affirming couples therapist based in Las Vegas, NV. I specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — an evidence-based approach that helps partners break out of painful patterns, heal from disconnection, and reconnect in deeper, more secure ways.
I support couples and individuals navigating conflict, communication struggles, infidelity, emotional distance, premarital questions, and relationship ambivalence. My practice is especially attuned to the needs of queer, neurodiverse, and nontraditional relationships (including CNM and polyamorous partners). I strive to create a warm, inclusive, and judgment-free space where all identities and emotions are welcome.
For couples in crisis or those wanting to deepen their connection quickly, I also offer 2–3 day EFT Couples Intensives — an immersive, premium service outside of insurance designed to accelerate progress in just a weekend. I balance this with making weekly therapy available through Cigna and Aetna (via Headway), so couples can choose between a traditional path and a concentrated, cash-pay option.
I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), and I have advanced training in EFT. I’m also invited annually as a facilitator for national EFT trainings on LGBTQ+ inclusivity, where I help other clinicians build affirming skills.
If you’re ready to get unstuck and reconnect, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. You can book a free consult or schedule with your Cigna or Aetna insurance via Headway.
I actively participate in helping you get to where you want to go, and I offer insight when clients have a desire and readiness to hear it. I have worked in the mental health field for over ten years as well, so I have heard it all! My office is a no judgement zone first and foremost. I am a sex therapist and look forward to helping you overcome sexual shame and trauma so that you can have all the intimacy and closeness you desire.
Welcome to a healthier happier you! I am excited to join you on your wellness journey. Therapy is a courageous act of self-care. As a mental health therapist for more than a decade, I am honored to share the real-life tools that have helped so many brave clients throughout my career. I see my clients as whole individuals, and we explore all aspects of everyday life: physical, mental, social, financial health and more.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in Henderson
Finding an LGBTQIA+-affirming therapist in Henderson starts with identifying what kind of support matters most to you. You may be looking for a provider experienced with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, or the specific stressors that LGBTQIA+ individuals face — such as identity exploration, family dynamics, or the impact of discrimination. Licensed providers on Headway, including LPCs, LCSWs, psychologists, and psychiatrists, have indicated their areas of focus in their profiles so you can find someone whose experience matches your needs.
Henderson is part of the greater Las Vegas metro area, and many providers serve both Henderson and surrounding communities like Green Valley, Anthem, and Summerlin. Some offer in-person sessions at local offices, while others are available for virtual appointments — giving you more options when choosing a provider who feels like the right fit. Reading a provider's bio can help you understand their approach and whether they have specific training or experience with LGBTQIA+ clients before you reach out.
Therapy in the Henderson area can be expensive without insurance, but using in-network benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce what you pay. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs before you book, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find an affirming provider who is both the right clinical match and covered by your plan.
