I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years of experience in behavioral health, including more than a decade as a psychiatric registered nurse. I earned my post-master’s certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Cincinnati and hold a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nursing Education from the University of Detroit Mercy.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds in outpatient, residential, correctional, and community-based settings. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, PTSD, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders.
I believe mental health care should be collaborative, respectful, and individualized. My goal is to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understand your treatment options, and feel empowered to take an active role in your mental health and overall well-being.
I'll try to summarize quickly so you don't have to scan far.
Not every therapist is for everyone. Fit matters more than anything, and you deserve a connection that feels safe and open. With my clients I try to be real and honest, while maintaining empathy, presence and humor. We can go slow, laugh, cry, and move at your pace.
We might fit well if: You're anxious or struggling to cope with the state of the world. You've experienced loss/grief. You're working on relationships and boundaries. You're trying to "be you" in a world that doesn't support. You're feeling challenged parenting, partnering, and "doing it all". Newness is hard.

Hello! I started out as a school social worker for 2 years. I then began school based therapy for another two years. I have been at my current position at a juvenile detention center since 2023 and I have loved everyone of my jobs in different ways.
As an experienced board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, I specialize in adults between the ages of 18-64 experiencing anxiety, feelings of depression, stress, attention issues, grief, or sleep difficulties who want to feel better and supported. With over 10 years of experience working in different facilities across the country, my goal is to create a calm, judgment-free space where you feel comfortable, heard, and understood.
Hello. I would describe myself as being kind, caring and full of positive energy. I have 8years of experience working with substance abuse. I have 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. I graduated with both my Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work from Wayne State University. Life is full of joys and sorrows, and none of us should have to get through it alone. I'm Nikki, a Michigan therapist specializing in perinatal and postpartum care, tweens, adolescents, and young adults. I see therapy as an essential part of mind-body-spirit wellbeing. I'd love to hear from you.
I specialize in providing trauma focused therapy solutions for people of all ages. I've been working with children, individuals and families who have experienced abuse, neglect, loss and complex trauma for over a decade.
