I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 16 years of experience. I have a Doctorate in Social Work. I have focused primarily on working with children, adolescents, and their families throughout my career. For me, therapy is a collaborative process and we will work together to accomplish your goals. Anything is possible, sometimes we just need help to get things jump-started.
I work compassionately with generally high-functioning adults who may be experiencing a range of potential symptoms that diminish their mental and/or physical health and well-being. These may include anxiety, perfectionism, and performance challenges; self-esteem and self-worth; body image and disordered eating; managing chronic disease; grief and loss; depression; relationship challenges with friends, partners, and family members; and life and career transitions that may include finding meaning in life. I often work with people who simply find life is easier when they have a non-judgmental connection outside of their usual circles.
I support adults through life transitions including grief, loss, relationship challenges, panic, job loss, empty nest, medical trauma & other upsetting & traumatic events. I'm a talk therapist, EMDR therapy certified & advanced Flash Technique trained - tools that I incorporate to help my clients navigate emotions in the days and weeks following and ongoing.
Tired of reading the same cookie cutter bio? I'll keep it short:
I graduated from UPenn 10+ yrs ago w/ a Master's in Social Work. I have experience working in every setting you could imagine. I specialize in making people feel comfortable, safe, and validated. I specialize in treating my clients like they matter, are important & are worthy, no matter what they look like, sound like, or "seem" like. I'm also an expert in being a real human being and not a robot with automated responses who will "mhmm" you to death.
I have worked in the field of psychology for over 25 years and hold two Master’s degrees as well as a PhD in Neuropsychology. I provide psychotherapy for individuals across the lifespan and specialize in the treatment of mood disorders, including anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
I also work with individuals who are navigating major life stressors such as divorce, career transitions, and other significant changes. In addition, I help clients address concerns related to anger management, chronic stress, and the psychological impact of health issues.
My goal is to support clients in developing effective coping strategies, gaining insight, and making meaningful changes that improve their overall well-being and quality of life.
I offer an environment of ease and attentive listening as a place to begin. Our work together will help you feel more grounded and less overwhelmed, so painful emotions can be met with understanding and long held patterns considered from new perspectives. Over time, you can expect to move through life with more self compassion and steadiness.
With more than 15 years of experience in office, hospital and hospice settings as a hospice chaplain, I have helped adults navigate grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and crises of purpose and meaning.
I became a therapist because I wanted to show up for people in the moments that matter most. My background spans emergency services, crisis intervention, inpatient psychiatry, residential programs, and outpatient care — experience that shaped a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to every session.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, panic attacks, anger management, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I also offer couples counseling through a Solution-Focused approach. As a Black male therapist in Central Massachusetts, I'm especially attuned to the needs of men's mental health — an area that is underserved and where I bring both lived experience and clinical depth.
I'm an LICSW — Massachusetts' highest independent social work license — trained at Salem State University and offering evidence-based, online therapy across the state.

Find the right therapist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in Lexington
Searching for therapists in Lexington starts with finding someone whose experience fits what you want support with. People often look for therapy for anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, trauma, or work stress. As you compare therapists, look for listed specialties, therapy styles, and populations served. A bio that mentions approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-informed care, or family therapy can help you understand how a therapist may structure sessions.
Lexington is a smaller community, so local in-person appointment options may be more limited than in nearby areas like Arlington, Waltham, or Boston. Virtual therapy can expand your choices while still connecting you with a Massachusetts-licensed therapist. As you narrow your search, consider appointment availability, whether a therapist is accepting new patients, and whether they offer a free phone consultation. Reading profiles before booking can help you compare communication style, areas of focus, and what to expect in a first session.
Therapy in Lexington can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and see your estimated out-of-pocket cost before you book. Headway helps you search for therapists who match your preferences and offer in-person or virtual appointments, so you can review bios, check insurance details, and book directly when you’re ready.
If anyone in your family is experiencing or worried about abuse, threats, or coercion, joint family or couples therapy usually isn't the right starting point — individual support is safer. The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline (1-800-422-4453) and National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788\) can help you think through next steps.
