I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing medication
management and therapy for children ages 5+, adolescents, and adults. I treat ADHD,
depression, anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, and related conditions. I also work with adults with autism
spectrum disorder and ADHD, providing diagnostic clarification and ongoing treatment within
general psychiatric care. I offer in-person and telehealth visits and focus on collaborative,
evidence-based, and individualized care.
You need insight into your problems, not more advice. I'm Matt, a licensed professional specializing in helping teens and emerging adults (13–30) keep their footing in the whirlwind of adolescence and becoming an adult.
I am passionate about supporting my clients to feel congruent internally, so they can further understand and communicate their needs externally. While talking is the most obvious way for communication, I also love to incorporate our somatic experiences during sessions (with your agreement, of course). As an immigrant from Taiwan, it's also my mission to provide my expertise for people struggling with "fit in", while transitioning to any new environments.
I could list all my accomplishments from the past 30 years, but that wouldn't give you a true sense of my style or beliefs. I strive to empathize, be respectful, and remain non judgemental. We all face worries, stresses, and challenges daily, and we all need someone who listens and understands. While family and friends can provide wonderful support, talking to someone with professional expertise and an outside perspective can be incredibly beneficial.
Drawing from over three decades of experience in mental health, addiction counseling, and psychiatric rehabilitation, I offer specialized, personalized approaches for both individuals and couples. In couples counseling, our focus is on enhancing communication and fostering skills to reignite connections and reopen hearts. I approach our work with utmost respect, collaboration, and a deep appreciation for your unique journey. You are the expert in your own experience, I provide unwavering support, strategies and realistic optimism.

I understand on a deep level what it can be like to live with and overcome mental health challenges and to be impacted by and overcome an addiction; this experience enriches my empathy and informs my clinical practice and ability to connect and understand more fully with you. We are human beings, not a diagnosis.

(Physical office setting 226 Massachusetts Avenue, Suite 1B, Arlington, MA as well as Telehealth through Professional Zoom account that is HIPPA Compliant and Secure available if preferred.)

In-person wellesley therapy may work well if you prefer a local office near Wellesley Hills, Wellesley Square, or Washington Street.
