My name is J.J. Mull -- I'm a clinical social worker and therapist in private practice. I trained and Smith College School for Social Work and received advanced training in psychoanalytic treatment at Cambridge Health Alliance through Harvard Department of Psychiatry. Since finishing my training, I have worked in a wide range of settings with people struggling with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, substance use disorders, significant trauma, and many other issues. In addition to my clinical work, I am a writer, poet, and researcher and have been a professor in the Masters in Social Work program at Smith College for 4 years.
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) of Asian descent with over a decade of experience working with adults, children, families, and couples from a wide range of cultural and personal backgrounds. I'm deeply passionate about the mental health field and committed to providing trauma-informed care that honors each person's unique story and resilience. I believe in the power of connection, presence, and authenticity in the healing process. I also have a deep love for the outdoors and often incorporate nature into my work, as I find it to be a powerful and effective form of experiential therapy. Whether we're exploring your inner world or using elements of the natural world for grounding and reflection, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space for growth and healing.
I've been in practice for thirty years, working with clients of all ages. I have Master's Degrees in Counseling and Religious Studies, with concentrations in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, EMDR and Expressive Therapies.
I graduated from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Services. I've had the opportunity to work with the elderly, adolescents, teens and families. Providing family therapy is my specialty.
I am an LICSW Clinical Social Worker with experience in helping those with depression, ADHD, anxiety, and trauma. I incorporate ACT, CBT, and DBT modalities into my work and am a trained EMDR therapist.
I’m Jose Garcia, a licensed therapist (LICSW, CCM) with over a decade of experience helping adults navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, substance use, and life transitions. I provide a supportive, culturally sensitive, and bilingual environment to help clients feel understood and empowered to grow.
Hello!
I proudly bring lived experience to the table, so I know a different life than comes in textbooks. It increases my odds of understanding you better and of being able to develop unique strategies for you in a shorter amount of time. I've wanted to work in mental health since I was a child, and bring that enthusiasm to my work. Hope to see you soon.
I'm a Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over ten years of experience supporting children, teens, and families across community health and pediatric hospital settings. Much of my work has centered on adolescents, youth involved in the justice system, families navigating multiple systems of care, perinatal mental health, and end-of-life work. I also hold a certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C). Beyond direct clinical work, I've led program development and evaluation for initiatives serving LGBTQIA2S+ communities and Latinx and Indigenous youth. Before becoming a social worker, I worked as an Intervention Specialist, supporting middle and high school students with learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and significant mental health needs. Across all of this, one belief stays constant: you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with respect, curiosity, and genuine care.
We all need connection, community, and the ability to be our authentic selves in order to thrive. Many of us are not provided these attachment needs in childhood, and we grow into adulthood burdened by this wounding, unsure of how to relate safely and from a place of wholeness. If you struggle to align your inner and outer worlds, find yourself repeating difficult relational patterns, or feel as if your authentic self must remain hidden, I would love to work with you. I am particularly interested in supporting the health of queer families and cooperatives.
