Alan-Michael (Professor C.) honors individuality and celebrates personal gains.
I am an LMHC who specializes in disability, chronic pain, trauma, grief, and LGBTQIA+ issues. I graduated from Suffolk University with an Masters of Science in mental health counseling.
I am a seasoned therapist. I have lived in many parts of the US as well as overseas. I work best with clients who demonstrate insight into their issues and want to change. I see myself as the copilot on your path to transformation.
I work with adults facing a range of diagnoses, life challenges, and difficult transitions. As a clinician, I believe the therapeutic process is the invisible string that connects what we struggle with now, to the meaningful changes we want and need.
Reaching out for therapy can be overwhelming-whether you’re new to the process or returning. I welcome you to a safe and supportive space to share your burdens, and help you make sense of what you’re going through.
I've been practicing for over a decade. I received my Master of Science, and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Mental Health Counseling from Suffolk University, in Boston, MA. I was also awarded an Outstanding Graduate Student Award recognizing several different criteria, including clinical competence, and development of professional identity.
I have worked with children, young adults, adults, and seniors as an outreach clinician, and in outpatient settings.
I also have experience with adults in MMT settings, and substance abuse counseling.
Most recently, I have shifted my focus to working with adults only (18+).
As a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, the provider helps clients manage their mental health with both medication and therapy. The provider is trained to diagnose and treat mental health conditions and works together with each client to find the best plan. Conversations are private, and client comfort and safety are top priorities. Clients are encouraged to ask questions and share concerns. If urgent help is needed outside of sessions, contact information will be provided. The provider’s main goal is to support clients in feeling better and living well.
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker with extensive experience in trauma, grief and bereavement, hospice and palliative care, substance use, recovery, and major life transitions. I also have experience with ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and bring an integrative, trauma-informed perspective to my work. Hello and welcome!
I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience in outpatient psychiatry and community mental health. I enjoy working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other mental health conditions. I have a special interest in women's mental health, including pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause. My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a welcoming and supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in your mental health journey.
I have been in the field for over fifteen years. I have worked in a variety of settings, with children, adolescents and adults. My current focus for the past several years has been on supporting adults, particularly those seeking support around life transitions, relationships and anxiety. I also have years of experience and enjoy working with folks in the LGBTQIA+ community. I regularly partake in continuing education, which I find exciting and helpful in keeping up with current themes in mental health care, such as exploring social justice issues through a mental health lens.
I have over 25 years’ experience and training in psychiatric rehabilitation sciences and approach therapy from a recovery model. I believe that with the right skills and supports people can do anything. I use a strengths-based approach; rather than focusing on diagnosis I focus on what the individual brings to therapy, what obstacles are present and the individual’s strengths. I work hard to facilitate a trusting relationship and create a non-judgmental space for my clients to grow and thrive. I utilize CBT, Relapse Prevention and Motivational Enhancement Therapy. I believe people are the expert in their recovery, and it is my job to help bring that expertise to the forefront of treatment.
Searching for a therapist is the first step toward a more resilient version of yourself. As an LGBTQIA+ Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, I provide a space rooted in respect, sensitivity, and radical compassion. Whether you are navigating the heavy weight of burnout, the complexities of trauma, or the daily strain of anxiety and depression, I am here to help you find your footing. Transformation isn’t linear—there will be setbacks—but if you are ready to invest in yourself, I am ready to support you in every stage of the process.
