Welcome! I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting adults and families. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and LGBTQIA+ concerns (including poly and kink relationships), as well as fostering personal growth. My approach is inquisitive, collaborative, and solutions-focused. Whether we communicate in English or ASL, I look forward to working together to help you reach your goals.
I offer support and skills to those exploring identity, intimacy, or relational complexity—whether in gender, sexuality, kink, or deocolonized relationships. They may be sitting with grief, unraveling the impact of trauma, or feeling the weight of past experiences in their body. They long for connection but struggle with vulnerability, trust, or belonging. Some feel stuck in cycles of overwhelm, while others are questioning the stories they’ve been told about who they are. They seek a space where they can be seen without judgment, process their experiences, and make sense of the systems shaping their lives.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who attained my Master's in clinical counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have approximately 15 years of experience providing compassionate and effecting counseling services in an array of settings including both community and hospital based.
I take pride in having the opportunity to serve a diverse population which has included children, adults, couples, and families across a broad spectrum of needs. Some of the unique needs have included supporting individuals who are seeking to gain a better approach to their life while going through difficulties with self-identity, relationship challenges, trauma, substance use issues, or navigating challenging life transitions.
"If your problem is like a mountain, I can't carry you up it. But I can walk with you every step of the journey."
Hi, I’m Dan. I’m a licensed psychotherapist with experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I have also worked as a school counselor and as a behavior therapist for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I focus on issues such as anxiety, depression, men's mental health issues, behavioral issues, stress, coping skills, life transitions, mood disorders, relationship issues, school issues, self esteem, self-harm, spirituality, trauma and thought disorders.
I help young adults, adults, and athletes work through anxiety, depression, grief and loss, burnout, attachment and relationship challenges, and confidence or performance struggles so they can feel more grounded, confident, and connected in their lives. If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of your next step, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Therapy can be a place to better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and create meaningful change.
Currently, I am only accepting new clients who are within the LGBTQIA2+ community.
I am a trans and queer LCSW and artist with 15 years of experience in community mental health. I completed my MSW and MA in Gender Studies at Loyola University Chicago. Before grad school, I worked in reproductive justice, body autonomy, and community care. Life experiences have led me to provide therapy with a focus on community care through an anti oppressive lens.
