I work with individuals across the lifespan to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. I've been in the mental health field since 2011, starting with residential treatment for women navigating addiction and dual diagnoses, then outpatient, and now private practice. I work with adults dealing with anxiety, life transitions, and the kind of stress that piles up when everything seems to be happening at once - and I bring warmth, humor, and a whole lot of genuine care to every session.

With more than 30 years of experience as a clinical psychologist, I am passionate about helping adults and older adults navigate life’s emotional, psychological, and cognitive challenges. I provide psychotherapy, cognitive rehabilitation, and neuropsychological evaluations, with particular experience supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, memory concerns, adjustment issues, and the impact of aging or medical conditions. I hold a masters degree in Mental Health Counseling as well as a post graduate certificate in Trauma Studies. I have worked in multiple levels of care including inpatient, residential, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization. Sharon D. Troupe, M.A., CTP, CBHCMS, QS, AES, LPC, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Florida Qualified Supervisor, Certified Telehealth Professional, and Targeted Case Management Supervisor with more than 25 years of experience in behavioral health, counseling, healthcare administration, and clinical leadership.

She is the Founder and CEO of A Better Therapy Connection, Inc., providing mental health counseling, behavioral health assessments, case management, clinical supervision, and supportive services throughout Florida. Her clinical expertise includes psychiatric and behavioral health assessments, crisis intervention, treatment planning, trauma-informed care, substance use disorders, correctional mental health, and individual, family, and group therapy.

Troupe has served in clinical and leadership roles across hospitals, behavioral health organizations, correctional settings, community agencies, and educational environments. She also provides clinical supervision and mentorship to emerging behavioral health professionals, promoting ethical practice, clinical excellence, and person-centered care.

She holds a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from the Argosy University , and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from Florida Memorial University. Meredith Brainard is a double Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years of experience and providing care of patients and varied settings. Meredith has experience in working with all ages across the lifespan, including children, adolescence, adults, and geriatrics.

I work with teens, adults, and families who are facing addiction, mental health concerns, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, and barriers to personal growth. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or ready to make positive changes in their lives. You may be struggling with shame, guilt, anger, repetitive thoughts, poor sleep, concentration problems, or the effects of trauma that make it hard to feel calm, present, or in control. I also support family members who are trying to manage the impact of a loved one’s substance use while learning how to set healthier boundaries.

I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a background in social work and therapy, and that experience has shaped how I think about mental health care. I’ve learned that what someone is experiencing is rarely just one thing. Our relationships, environment, past experiences, biology, and daily stressors can all play a role. I became a PMHNP-BC because I wanted to bring medication management into the same thoughtful, whole-person care I had been providing throughout my career.
