I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, and other emotional or behavioral challenges.
As a bilingual English-Spanish provider, I am passionate about improving access to high-quality mental health care for diverse communities and creating a safe space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves in the language they know best. Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, stress, or relationship challenges? Many individuals find themselves stuck despite wanting meaningful change, especially when emotional distress begins to interfere with daily functioning and overall well-being. Therapy offers a structured and supportive space to better understand these challenges and develop effective coping strategies. Seeking professional support is an important first step, and meaningful change occurs through intentional work both in and outside the therapy setting.

As a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist, I provide a compassionate space to help you make sense of these complex seasons. Whether you are facing daily stress, significant loss, or relationship challenges, we can work together to restore balance, heal old patterns, and help you feel like yourself again.
Sometimes the thing you are most afraid to look at is the exact thing that sets you free. I am Marie, an LMHC, National Certified Counselor, and Qualified Supervisor with more than 20 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across Florida. I specialize in anxiety, substance use and recovery, anger management, trauma, bipolar disorder, and the relationship patterns that keep people cycling through the same pain. For clients who want it, I also offer faith-integrated counseling that weaves Christian values into the therapeutic process without judgment.
Maybe it started as anxiety, the kind that sits in your chest before you've even opened your eyes in the morning. Or maybe it was something that happened a long time ago that you thought you'd moved past, until you noticed it showing up in your relationships, your drinking, your sleep, your ability to just feel okay on a regular Tuesday. A lot of people who find their way to therapy aren't in crisis. They're just tired of carrying something that's gotten heavier than it used to be, and tired of the ways they've been managing it. If that's where you are, whether you're sorting through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or a complicated relationship with alcohol or substances, you're not unusual. And you're not out of options..
It's difficult making the first phone call, booking an appointment and admitting you need help. Whether it's depression, anxiety, a mood disorder or trauma, it's frightening to admit that everything isn't how you want it to be and you don't have all the answers. If you're experiencing sadness, anxiety, mood swings, intrusive thoughts or images, flash backs, numbness or insomnia, there is hope and there is help. I'm going to teach you skills to manage you symptoms, emotions and relationships more effectively.
What I want clients to know about me is that I am not the kind of therapist who will just sit back, nod, and ask, “How does that make you feel?” I am warm, honest, direct, and very involved in the work we do together.
My strongest area of work is relationship and family dynamics. I help individuals, couples, and families understand the patterns that create conflict, distance, resentment, poor communication, and emotional disconnection. Many of my clients come to me feeling unheard, disrespected, emotionally exhausted, or unsure of how to move forward in an important relationship.
I also work with people who grew up in difficult or dysfunctional family environments and are now recognizing how those experiences may still be affecting their boundaries, relationships, parenting, self-worth, and emotional responses. I help clients understand not only what is happening, but how the pattern developed and what they can begin doing differently.
I believe insight is important, but insight alone is not enough. I want therapy to help you connect the dots and develop practical ways to communicate, set boundaries, manage conflict, and respond differently. I will support you, but I will also challenge you when I believe you are minimizing your needs, repeating unhealthy patterns, or avoiding something important.
I am not here to judge you, label the people in your life, or tell you what decisions to make. My role is to help you see things more clearly, understand what is within your control, and feel more confident in how you choose to move forward.
In addition to relationship and family concerns, I also work with anxiety, ADHD, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, and the impact these challenges can have on everyday functioning and relationships.
