Hey! I am the owner of Iris Counseling, LLC and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 16 years of experience in the field. More specifically in individual, family and group counseling, crisis intervention and suicide prevention, as well as in addiction counseling. While working in this field, I've developed a deep understanding of the complexity of us humans and the vulnerability it takes to ask for help. It's an honor to be in this profession and to be trusted by you as you're in this vulnerable space of personal growth and healing.
I am a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am licensed to prescribe psychotropic medications and provide psychotherapy and psychoeducation. I have over 20 years of experience delivering quality patient-centered care. I practice with an open mind and work with my clients to come up with an individualized plan of care to address their mental health needs using measures that fit into their lifestyle.
I believe that healing happens best in a space that feels both professional and human. With over a decade of experience supporting vulnerable children, families, and adults, I’ve dedicated my career to helping people navigate their most challenging seasons—specializing in substance use recovery and child and adolescent mental health.
My background is rooted in a BA in Psychology from the University of Delaware and an MSW from West Chester University. While my training prepared me to navigate complex medical and educational systems like school IEP/504 meetings, disciplinary boards, hospital teams, and the foster care system, my real-world experience has taught me that every individual and family needs a unique, compassionate approach.
I’m a firm believer that the world needs more laughter, and that therapy doesn't always have to feel heavy. When I’m not in the office, I’m usually painting or glued to a good book. I believe that therapy, much like art, is a process of creation and discovery, and I’d be honored to walk that path with you.
