Kayla, a licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in community mental health, recognized the profound disparities in access to mental health care within BIPOC communities. Inspired by a vision of creating a space where healing is both inclusive and affordable, she founded Helen’s Project with the belief that everyone deserves access to quality mental health support, regardless of their background or financial situation.Helen’s Project operates on the principle that culturally competent and empathetic mental health care is essential for holistic well-being. The organization collaborates with a diverse team of mental health professionals who not only possess clinical expertise but also understand the unique cultural nuances and challenges faced by the BIPOC community.
Finding the right therapist matters, and I understand that reaching out is often the hardest step. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for more than 20 years, working with adolescents, adults, and seniors across a wide range of life challenges. I am EMDR-certified and trained in a broad range of approaches because no two people are the same, and neither are their needs. I stay committed to ongoing training because therapy and people both continue to evolve. Past clients have appreciated my flexible, engaging, and non-judgmental style. My goal is to get to know you and work with you exactly where you are.

Hello, I'm Emily - I'm happy you're here! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a passion for supporting children, adolescents, and young adults through some of life’s most challenging moments. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as a school therapist, supporting students with IEPs as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and social challenges within the school setting. For 13 years, I worked in hospitals as a Certified Child Life Specialist, walking alongside children and families as they navigated chronic illness, medical trauma, and end-of-life experiences.
Hello there, I’m C Blanck (they/them), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with an MSW (Master of Social Work) and MDiv (Master of Divinity). I specialize in trauma, including complex and religious trauma, as well as suicidality. I work with adults navigating anxiety, identity, and the impacts of systemic, relational, and traumatic harm, with a particular passion for supporting LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse communities. I am CAMS (Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality) trained and currently working toward full certification in the model, as well as an EMDR provider in training.
NOTE: I am currently completing EMDR Basic Training and integrating EMDR-informed interventions under the guidelines of my training program. Anticipated completion of EMDR Basic Training: Early November 2026.
While I specialize in the treatment of trauma, including complex trauma, I am currently utilizing EMDR with appropriate clients and concerns consistent with my level of training. For clients seeking treatment for complex trauma, I also draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative, psychodynamic, ACT, DBT, and other trauma-informed approaches to support healing and recovery.
With my graduate certificate in Human-Animal-Environment Interactions in Social Work (HAEI-SW), I plan to introduce more animal assisted activities this Fall with my sweet-high energy lab mix therapy dog, Mr. Fusion.
Welcome to counseling for the first time, or welcome back! I am passionate about this work and see it as an honor to be with you during this time.
Hi. I'm glad you're here. The decision to ask for help is a brave and difficult choice, and I'm proud of you for making it. I might be a good fit for you if you're looking for someone who has been where you're at. In addition to my own experiences with mental health and life challenges, I have worked in substance use disorder treatment, inpatient psychiatric treatment, and community risk assessment/management.
Many people come to me feeling overwhelmed, anxious, burnt out, or simply “not like themselves.” Whether the root is mental health, hormones, or a mix of both, my goal is to help you understand what’s happening in your body and mind — and create a plan that actually helps you feel better.
I am a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years of experience treating complex chronic conditions, acute medical issues, and a wide range of mental health concerns. My background in the emergency room strengthened my ability to stay calm, think clearly, and support patients through some of their most difficult moments.
I am double board‐certified as an FNP‐BC and PMHNP‐BC, which allows me to integrate medical and psychiatric expertise. This means I look at the full picture — hormones, sleep, stress, mood, lifestyle, and physical health — to understand what’s driving your symptoms.
My approach is compassionate, practical, and evidence‐based. I take time to listen, explain things clearly, and work with you to create a treatment plan that fits your life. You deserve care that feels supportive, personalized, and focused on long‐term wellness.
If you’re ready to feel more balanced, focused, and in control again, I’m here to help you get there.
We'll meet at your readiness level and make meaning of the tough choices, navigate the hard edges, or forge a path through uncharted territory. I am a psychotherapist living in Colorado. I earned my MSW from Fordham University and have enjoyed previous work as a crisis therapist in hospital settings.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in trauma, perfectionism, and burnout. I help high-functioning adults heal from intergenerational, relational, and racial-based trauma through the integration of EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mind-body approaches.
🌄 A Tale of Two States: From Colorado to Texas
I'm a proud product of two distinct states: I spent my formative years growing up in Colorado before a major shift landed me in Pflugerville, Texas, as a high school junior.
That move—especially navigating a new culture and community during those challenging teenage years—was a profound adjustment period. It was this early, personal experience with transition and change that fundamentally shaped my path and inspired me to choose counseling as my career. Now, I carry the influence of both states with me.

Find the right therapist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in Colorado
Searching for therapists in Colorado means choosing from a wide range of licensed therapists across urban, suburban, and rural areas. Your options may vary depending on where you live, what kind of support you want, and whether you prefer in-person or virtual care. If you’re looking for help with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, grief, or life transitions, start by looking for a therapist whose listed specialties match your needs. Provider bios can also show whether a therapist uses approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, or acceptance and commitment therapy.
Location and scheduling matter when comparing Colorado therapists. Someone in Denver may have access to many nearby offices, while someone in Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, or a mountain or rural community may want to include virtual sessions in their search. Some people prefer meeting in a therapist’s office, while others choose virtual appointments for more flexibility. As you narrow your options, review whether each therapist is accepting new patients, offers appointment times that fit your schedule, and provides a free phone consultation. Reading profiles before booking can help you understand communication style, session structure, and what to expect in the first appointment.
The cost of therapy in Colorado can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps by verifying your insurance, showing estimated out-of-pocket costs before you book, and connecting you with licensed therapists who are accepting new patients. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, and you can confirm coverage for your location and plan as you search — making it easier to find a therapist who matches your needs, accepts your insurance, and has availability.
