Welcome! I'm Ruben Salgado, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping adults navigate challenges such as Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, and other mental health concerns. I believe treatment works best when you feel heard, understood, and involved in every decision. My approach combines advanced clinical skills with a deep commitment to patient advocacy, ensuring every individual has the tools and confidence to take charge of their health. I specialize in creating personalized treatment plans that honor the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. Whether I’m diagnosing, prescribing, or simply listening, my mission is to make every patient feel seen, heard, and cared for. I strive to turn sessions into moments of trust, learning, and hope."

Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist based in California. I received my Doctorate Degree from Alliant International University in Fresno. I was born in Southern California and raised in the Bay Area. I have been practicing for 10 years and I enjoy empowering adults in their journey of overcoming their mental health challenges. I motivate clients for change and promote their personal growth.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist passionate about working with teens and adults as they navigate life’s challenges. Many of the clients I work with come to therapy feeling stuck, disconnected from themselves, or unsure of where they’re going. I hope to create a space where you feel supported in exploring what matters most to you and gaining greater clarity and confidence moving forward.
I feel my purpose is to help people cope with the trauma of being human in these uncertain times. I am innately in tune with the language of emotion. I have an inherent understanding of people’s communication patterns and a gentle, approachable, non-threatening presence that provides people with a safe space to express themselves.
I became a therapist because there were so many points in my life that I needed a compassionate person to hear my story, to ease the constant ache of loneliness that weighed on my heart. I want to be that for others.
During my 20+ years as an educator, I witnessed closely how early childhood experiences impact all areas of development and brain architecture. I taught kindergarten, first grade, special education (children and adults) and art during this phase of my career. I created social and emotional growth programs for children on the autism spectrum. I am currently developing an art curriculum for teachers and parents that encapsulates how I use art to help people cope with trauma, anxiety, ADHD and dyslexia, that also provides engaging and non-messy ways to experience creativity and stimulate the right brain. I am also creating an art-based workbook for those healing from trauma.
I went back to school in 2020 for my masters in Marriage and Family therapy. I am a newly licensed LMFT. This process has been profound. I have worked with people from all walks of life and learned from each person who crossed my path. I accept that this is a constant learning process which inspires me. I am not sure my curiosity can be satiated.
I am a published author, and poet at heart. Drawing soothes my soul and music and dance bring tears to my eyes. I have a dry and quirky sense of humor. I will be happy to incorporate creativity into your sessions if you are receptive.
I look forward to the opportunity to connect.
Growing up near a national park, I am consistently reminded of and influenced by the importance of nature on our physical, mental, and emotional health in my mental health practice. As an LMFT, I've worked with a variety of populations, most of whom experienced major trauma or complex trauma, and aid them in reconnecting to their sense of self and safety. I received my MS from California Lutheran University with a specialization in trauma and BA from CSU Chico. I have been licensed for 4 years and have provided therapy for the last 8 years including an associate and traineeship.
I am Tony Gunn, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am also a Substance Abuse Professional and a board certified transgender care therapist. I value connection, trust, and respect.
I work with adults, teens, families, and couples. My focus areas include LGBTQIA+ clients, gender nonconforming clients, transgender care, sexual health concerns, trauma, grief, mood concerns, and major life transitions.
You receive care grounded in empathy, cultural awareness, and collaboration. Sessions center on clear goals, practical skills, and meaningful insight. I create a space where you feel heard, supported, and understood without judgment.
I provide services through in-person and telehealth settings. My approach blends evidence-based practice with care shaped around your needs, values, and lived experience. My goal centers on supporting clarity, stability, and long-term well-being through an affirming therapeutic relationship.
Being an LMFT is my second career, and the one in which I finally feel like my best self. Having been in the business world for 20 years before this has given me lots of great life experience. I bring all of this and my blended family life to the table when I'm in the room with clients. They deserve the whole person.
