There is so much growing that we do in our teens & young adulthood (and our adulthood too!), whether we want to or not. I know how overwhelming it can be, especially with so many factors at play (culture, trauma, world events, etc). As your therapist, I’m here to support you through all this.
I am someone who:
- Works with BIPOC, children of immigrants, LGBTQ+, & neurodivergent teens folx, & those who are grieving
- Is trauma informed, & community/justice oriented
- Knows how the systems at play affect us daily & at a deeper unconscious level
- Creates a safe space for you to explore the parts of your life that may feel too difficult to hold on your own
If you want any of the following, then I am the therapist for you:
- Work through your relationships, life events, &/or grief using talk therapy & body-centered approaches
- Process life events, ideas, feelings with thought provoking questions
- Support in navigating relationships & your inner world in any capacity
I'm a psychiatric nurse practitioner based in California, and I built my practice around being a true advocate for the people I work with. I trained in both medication management and therapy, and I find that care is most effective when those two things work together. Whether you are managing a mood disorder, navigating anxiety or depression, or figuring out the right psychiatric medications, I take time to understand you as a whole person, not just a list of symptoms. My goal is for every client to feel genuinely heard, supported, and in control of their own mental health journey.
I am a licensed psychotherapist specializing in trauma, eating disorders, and the mind-body connection. I use EMDR and IFS-informed care to support deep healing and recovery. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck, anxious, disconnected from their bodies, or caught in patterns they don’t fully understand. Together, we slow things down, explore what’s underneath, and work toward lasting, meaningful change.
I believe each person deserves a space to be seen and valued for their authentic self. As a bilingual (Spanish), bicultural, first-generation Latina born and raised in Boyle Heights, my worldview is deeply shaped by the resilience of marginalized communities, the weight of generational survival, and the intricate dance of navigating multiple cultures. As the daughter of Salvadorian immigrants who fled conflict in the 80s in search of a better life, I understand firsthand the invisible loads, systemic complexities, and profound courage it takes to build a path forward.
For the last 9 years, I have worked in LGBTQIA2S+ and school based agencies, working with people from all different backgrounds who struggle with a wide variety of challenges. I’ve worked with individuals with issues like depression, anxiety, trauma, body image from a Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective, chronic pain/illness, neurodiversity, caregiving, grief, loss, relationships, polyamory, ethical & consensual non-monogamy (ENM/CNM), LGBTQIA2S+, kink/BDSM, sex issues, and gender issues.
I identify as a fat/large bodied, disabled/spoonie, leftist, pan/omni, mixed-race (white presenting), cis woman (with PMOS). There's other parts of me that make up me, and you're welcome to ask about any them. I take efforts to be aware of the privileges that I carry, and take an active role to check and address how that impacts the therapeutic relationship.
Welcome, congratulations for taking the first step in your journey to a better you. I have experience in working with individuals who are struggling with a wide variety of problems such as depression, negative thoughts patterns, low self-esteem, anxiety, adjustment, grief, LGBTQIA and cultural issues.
I am committed to providing an empathetic safe space to support you in your journey.
Seeking help can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate it alone. I'm Robert Jimenez, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience caring for adults from diverse backgrounds. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. Together, we'll work to understand what you're experiencing, identify your goals, and develop a treatment plan that supports your long-term well-being. I provide care in both English and Spanish and welcome individuals from all backgrounds, including the LGBTQIA+ community.
I believe healing is not a destination but a journey—one that you don’t have to walk alone. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, identity exploration, or old wounds that still feel present, I offer a space where all parts of you are welcomed. You bring your lived experience; I bring compassion, perspective, and steady support.
My approach is collaborative, rooted in curiosity, emotional safety, and the belief that you already hold the wisdom needed to heal. Therapy is not about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you build a deeper, more trusting relationship with yourself so you can show up more fully in your life. If you’re ready to start that journey, I’m here to walk with you.
My passion for helping others and giving back led me to a career that feels both meaningful and purposeful. My own personal experiences with trauma, anxiety, and depression give me a unique insight as a clinician — allowing me to show up for my clients with genuine empathy and understanding.
Ready to feel more connected, confident, and in control of your life? Whether you’re facing relationship struggles, overwhelming emotions, or challenges around identity, you deserve a space where you feel truly seen and supported.
I’m Rocio Vaca, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 17+ years of experience helping couples, individuals, children, and teens create meaningful, lasting change.
For couples, I help turn conflict and disconnection into stronger communication, deeper friendship, and emotional intimacy.
I provide an affirming, judgment-free space for those exploring identity, preparing to come out, building self-acceptance, or navigating gender-affirming care. Together, we can strengthen resilience and address anxiety, depression, and stress.
