My clinical background includes approximately one year working with men experiencing homelessness, where I conducted psychiatric evaluations to identify diagnosed and previously unrecognized mental health conditions that could affect employment, housing stability, and daily functioning. As an ER nurse for 15 years in the Psychiatric emergency department and spending the first half of my Nurse practitioner career on an inpatient psychiatric unit before going to outpatient, I have been there with people and helped them through their roughest days. Through medication managed crisis intervention work in these areas, I have learned to support your journey through medication stabilization, a lot of humor about the triggers and stressors life gives us and foundational guidance.
