I am a board-certified Psychiatrist (medical doctor) providing virtual care throughout NY and PA. I taper medications. This means most of my patients want to safely reduce or ultimately stop taking psychiatric medications, and I guide them through that process safely and at their own pace. I include therapy in my 30-min follow up sessions, though do not offer weekly 1-hour therapy sessions. Many of my patients also work with a therapist.

Find the right psychiatrist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Psychiatrist in Mount Kisco, NY
Finding psychiatrists in Mount Kisco starts with knowing which type of care fits your needs. Psychiatrists and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication, while therapists focus on talk therapy. Medication management often includes reviewing symptoms, discussing how care is going, and adjusting the care plan when appropriate. If you are looking for support with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, or medication management, review each psychiatrist’s listed specialties and training before you book.
Mount Kisco has a smaller local market, so virtual psychiatry can help expand your options beyond nearby offices. Some psychiatric appointments are shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions, especially when the focus is medication management. Some psychiatrists also offer therapy, and some people work with both a therapist and a prescriber. As you compare options, look at appointment availability, whether the psychiatrist is accepting new patients, and whether a free phone consultation is offered. Reading bios can help you understand communication style, clinical focus, and what to expect in a first appointment.
Psychiatric care in Mount Kisco can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and make care easier to plan for. Headway helps you find psychiatrists who match your needs, accept a wide range of insurance plans nationally, and may have availability with your plan. You can enter your insurance details, see estimated costs before booking, review psychiatrist bios, and book directly when you are ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
