Hi, I’m Ashley, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, National Certified Counselor and Registered Play Therapist passionate about supporting children, teens, adults, and families through life’s challenges with greater understanding, connection, and confidence.
My clinical background is deeply rooted in infant and early childhood mental health, attachment, trauma, emotional regulation, and strengthening relationships within families. Over the years, my work has expanded to include adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, parenting stress, burnout, and feeling disconnected from themselves or others.
One area I am especially passionate about is supporting individuals during pregnancy, postpartum, and the early parenting years. I feel deeply called to support mothers and parents as they navigate the emotional, relational, and identity shifts that can come with bringing new life into the world.
I believe healing happens when people feel safe, seen, and genuinely understood. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the need to have it all figured out.
Dedicated Therapist, Educator, and Lifelong Learner
My path to therapy wasn’t a straight line—it was a journey of persistence, family, and a commitment to helping others navigate their complex stories.
Born and raised in Tulsa, I earned a Psychology degree from Christian Brothers University before returning to Oklahoma to serve as an educator. With a second degree in Special Education focused on Emotional Disturbances, I spent years in the classroom supporting children and families through unique emotional challenges.
While I always felt called to therapy, I prioritized my roles as a mother and teacher in a small ranching community. Following a divorce, I turned that transition into a new beginning. As a single parent, I balanced full-time work and night school, graduating with my Master’s degree and a 4.0 GPA.
Real Experience for Real Life I bring clinical expertise in CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy, but also a wealth of lived experience. Today, I am remarried in a vibrant blended family with eight children and three grandkids. I intimately understand the dynamics of divorce, blended families, and the balancing act of personal growth. My family is my world, and this groundedness allows me to show up for you with authentic empathy and practical wisdom.
My therapy work is my purpose. I love what I do.
Individual Well Being, which includes stress and anxiety reduction, navigating life transitions, finding coping strategies and hope and meaning during grief and loss and working through trauma. Relationship Repair and Connection using couples and family therapy, parent child therapy and repairing sibling relationships. Creating What You Most Desire through discovering what gets in the way and then creating steps to get where you want to go..
My training as a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor, along with being a Registered Play Therapist gives me the best back ground to assist you in these areas. My Masters in Family Relations and Child Development and Post Graduate Work in Human Relations serve as a strong foundation. My professional training in the Gottman Method and Johnson's Emotionally Focused Therapy is very helpful, as well as being a Prepare Enrich Facilitator for Assessment of Couple Relationships.
My most recent intensive training program was to become a Certified Clinical EFT Practitioner. This is a powerful mind body approach. The lay public calls it "tapping".
I am in private practice focusing on all of the above, doing in person and online virtual therapy. And in the past I worked in the non profit world in a similar capacity, as a therapist and supervisor.
I currently hold supervisory status to supervise LPC Candidates and Registered Play Therapist Candidates.
I love working with clients to help make improvements in their lives. I hold a safe space for clients to talk about difficult issues. The turnaround for clients from the first day to completion of therapy is inspiring.
Healing starts now! My name is Romy and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas. I am here to support you towards healing and I am proud of you for taking this step. When times get tough, I can help you figure things out or simply help guide you in the right direction. Hello! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor serving adolescents and adults across Oklahoma through after-hours telehealth sessions. I know that finding time for therapy can be difficult, which is why I offer evening and weekend appointments designed to fit into your busy life.
I earned my Master’s degree in Human Relations with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Oklahoma in 2018 and have been practicing as an LPC since 2020. I also work full-time in tribal behavioral health, where I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and life experiences.
My passion is helping people heal from trauma, navigate relationship challenges, and better understand the ways past experiences continue to impact their lives today. I’m EMDR-informed and TF-CBT-informed, and I use these evidence-based approaches alongside a compassionate, collaborative style of therapy.
I believe therapy should be shaped around your unique needs, goals, values, and lived experience. My work is grounded in a holistic view of healing, which means I consider the connection between mind, body, and spirit as we explore what is affecting your well-being. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, emotional overwhelm, and the desire for deeper clarity or personal growth. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and respectful space where you can explore what you are carrying, better understand yourself, and begin creating meaningful change in a way that feels aligned with who you are!
