Hello! Thank you for being here. Reaching out for therapy is incredibly brave but can also be a bit overwhelming. I’m hoping I can help you see your strength and worth while we navigate all the things life throws our way.
I’m Kathy and I have been a social worker for 23 years now. I have been a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker for the last 16 years of that time. For the majority of my profession, I have been working in the hospital setting, helping patients find solutions to a wide range of needs. I have seen patients struggle in many different ways in life and helping them has also helped me grow as a social worker.
I am passionate about helping people realize they are capable of more than they think. Everyone deserves to see their worth and I would love to work with you to help you see yours.
I'm a psych NP. I have worked in general psychiatry and addiction medicine. I utilize CBT and motivational interviewing to help inspire change.
My path to becoming a counselor was shaped in part by my own life experiences. Navigating divorce, raising children in a divorced household, and working with a counselor myself helped me develop greater emotional awareness and better understand how our experiences can influence the way we think, feel, and respond to the world around us.
I have also learned to better understand my own experience with ADHD and how it has influenced different areas of my life. ADHD is part of my experience, but it does not define who I am. That journey has reinforced my belief that understanding ourselves including our experiences, strengths, challenges, and differences can help us grow without reducing who we are to a diagnosis or label.
These experiences contributed to my decision to become a counselor and helped shape my passion for supporting people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, relationships, and major life transitions.
I've been in practice for 25 years. I enjoy working with individuals and couples. I specialize in helping individuals with a variety of issues, including depression and anxeity.

I have experience working with adults(18+) families and couples treating a number of concerns including navigating anxiety and depression, addictions, relationship concerns, phase of life issues and changes, stress management, community violence, domestic violence and healing from trauma and codependency. I believe in a practical, strengths-based method of treatment. My approach is compassionate, honest, and genuine. I would describe my approach as warm, solution-focused, and client centered. You are the expert on You! My goal is to help you heal through a mindful process for a deeper awareness of self and begin to establish new patterns of behavior to help you achieve a greater well-being. Together, we can identify your negative thought patterns, improve emotional regulation and self-awareness while using the strengths we will identify throughout the counseling process. Are you feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected in your relationships, or worried about your child or family? Maybe you’ve been carrying stress, anxiety, grief, conflict, or painful life changes for so long that you barely recognize yourself anymore. You may have spent years trying to stay strong for everyone else while quietly struggling on your own. If so, you are not alone.
I offer a warm, compassionate, and supportive space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin to make sense of what you’re going through without fear of judgment. With nearly 60 years of professional experience working with individuals, couples and families, I understand how deeply emotional pain, relationship struggles, family stress, loss, and life transitions can affect people.
I have extensive experience working with at-risk adolescents and young adults facing challenges such as self-harming behaviors, trauma, addictions, and family conflict.
I have worked successfully with adults navigating substance use concerns, chronic pain and other health difficulties, caregiver burnout, grief, various forms of loss, and major life transitions.
In addition, I work with couples facing communication difficulties, separation, infidelity, divorce and other relationship challenges, as well as families dealing with parenting stress, illness, addictions, cultural adaptation, and significant life changes. I am also able to support families with young children who are experiencing developmental difficulties, health challenges, or acting-out behaviors and I provide pre-marital counseling for couples who are about to tie the knot. Throughout our work together, I strive to help clients build greater self-awareness, strengthen relationships, develop healthier coping strategies, and move toward a greater sense of balance, connection, and emotional well-being.
I believe the most effective care comes from a strong, collaborative partnership. I approach each person as more than a diagnosis, and I value honesty, accountability, and mutual respect in the work we do together. Change is possible—I’ve seen it firsthand—and I’m here to support you in becoming the version of yourself you want to be. My background includes both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Nursing from Walsh University, and I bring that clinical foundation into thoughtful, individualized care.
