As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Montana and Ohio with a decade of experience in the mental health field, I am passionate about helping people reconnect with their authentic selves.

​I founded Wild Living Therapy not only because of my deep love for wildlife and nature but also because I believe we all carry untamed, misunderstood aspects of ourselves—parts that may feel "too wild" or difficult to accept. My goal is to create a space where you can honor these parts, step into your power, and recognize your worth.

I have been licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 2004 and have held a supervision designation since 2015. I have also held a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with a supervision/training designation license since 2018. I have maintained a private counseling practice in Chillicothe since 2000 and I continue to work with individuals and families in that capacity. I have dedicated my career to helping others and to working with the community to ensure the well-being of families and children.

As a counselor, former counselor educator, and advocate, I bring decades of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and communities. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship concerns, life transitions, employment concerns, disability issues, self-esteem challenges, trauma, and issues related to identity, culture, and faith. I am particularly passionate about supporting African American individuals and families while creating an affirming environment for people from all backgrounds.

I'm an LPCC with 17 years of clinical experience, and I offer telehealth therapy to adults throughout Ohio. I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, men's mental health, PTSD, and life transitions — but most of the people I work with don't arrive with a clean diagnosis. They arrive feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like they've been managing too much for too long.I work with adults and seniors who are done feeling like they have to figure everything out alone. My approach is direct and warm — I'm not going to sit in silence waiting for you to lead. We work together. I use DBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based techniques, but in practice that means building skills that actually fit your life, not homework from a textbook.I'm particularly well-suited to working with men who've been skeptical about therapy, adults navigating ADHD later in life, and anyone carrying grief they haven't had space to process. I offer a free 15-minute consultation before your first session so you can decide if we're a good fit.

Jacki Veler, MSN, PMHNP, FNP, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 16 years of nursing experience. She earned her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Spring Arbor University in 2021 and her PMHNP Graduate Certificate from the University of Toledo in 2022. At NewHeart Mental Health and Wellness in Oak Harbor, Ohio, she delivers in person and remote outpatient psychiatry and addiction treatment for adults and children across the entire lifespan. She also provides inpatient psychiatric care at a behavioral health hospital.

I help children, teens, and adults navigate life’s challenges by offering a safe, compassionate, and supportive space. My goal is to empower you to build healthier relationships, gain effective coping skills, and feel more in control of your life.
