I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety and mood disorders, postpartum anxiety and depression, and addiction.
My diverse clinical experience allows me to meet each client where they are and tailor my approach to their individual needs. I believe healing begins with having a space where you feel heard, safe, and empowered. My approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop meaningful tools for navigating life’s challenges. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions.

I draw from cognitive-behavioral, strengths-based, and relational approaches while incorporating Sandplay Therapy, expressive and play-based techniques, mind-body practices, meditation, stress management, and psychoeducation. When clinically appropriate, these methods are thoughtfully blended into a comprehensive approach that supports healing, growth, and overall wellness.

Reconnecting with your own inner voice is one of the most meaningful things therapy
can offer. My role is to be a compassionate witness and guide as you build awareness,
develop meaningful insight, and create a life that feels authentic and aligned with your
values. Throughout our lives, our own beliefs, needs, and intuition can become
overshadowed by the expectations and experiences of others. This can leave us feeling
disconnected from ourselves and contribute to feelings of anxiety, sadness, confusion,
or isolation. I am passionate about helping individuals rediscover their strengths, build
self-trust, and develop the confidence to move forward with greater clarity and self-
compassion. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, low
self-esteem, self-harm, trauma, parenting challenges, divorce, and family or
relationship concerns. I incorporate a holistic, mind-body approach into my work by
exploring the connection between emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations. I
believe our bodies often communicate experiences that words alone cannot fully
express, and developing awareness of these signals can be an important part of healing
and growth. I am proud to provide an affirming, inclusive space for individuals from diverse and
marginalized communities. I look forward to connecting with you soon!
With over a decade of dedicated experience in the field of substance use disorders (SUD), I have spent the majority of my career specializing in co-occurring mental health and addiction treatment. I am a dual-licensed professional in the state of New Jersey, holding credentials as both a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) and a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT). This unique background allows me to provide comprehensive, integrated care that addresses the complex intersection of substance use and relational or systemic mental health challenges.

Find an expert who truly understands ADHD
Headway helps you stay on track with expert-guided support for ADHD — from finding the right therapist or psychiatrist, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing an ADHD Therapist in Newark
Finding ADHD therapists in Newark starts with knowing what kind of support you want. Therapy can help with executive function skills, cognitive behavioral therapy for ADHD, emotional regulation strategies, and support for concerns like focus, organization, distractibility, and impulsivity. Medication management is separate and may involve a psychiatrist or other qualified prescriber. Some people look for therapy, some look for medication support, and some use both. If you’re searching for adult ADHD counseling near me, ADHD counseling near me, or care for a child or teen, look for a therapist whose listed specialties and experience match your needs.
Newark offers a range of mental health care options, and the right match may depend on schedule, location, and care format. You may prefer an office near downtown Newark, the Ironbound, University Heights, or another nearby area, or you may find that virtual appointments give you more options across New Jersey. ADHD can also appear alongside anxiety, depression, work stress, school concerns, or relationship challenges, so it helps to choose a therapist with experience in ADHD and related concerns. Before booking, read therapist bios for details about approach, appointment availability, session structure, and whether a free phone consultation is offered.
Therapy in Newark can be a significant investment without insurance, and using in-network coverage is one of the most reliable ways to lower session costs. Headway helps you find ADHD therapists who accept a wide range of insurance plans, are accepting new patients, and offer upfront cost estimates after you enter your insurance details. You can compare therapists, review bios, check availability, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
