I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor passionate about helping clients move past what's holding them back from being their best selves. I am a proud alumnus of North Carolina Central University (B.A.) and Nova Southeastern University (M.S., Mental Health Counseling). I welcome clients from all walks of life and every stage of the journey, whether you're new to therapy or returning. Together, we identify what isn't working, build on what is, and create a path toward real, lasting change. My goal is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and equipped to move forward.
Therapy with me isn't about me telling you what to do or handing you a workbook and calling it healing. What I've learned in doing this work since 2016 — in community mental health centers, residential programs, child welfare — is that people don't need more advice. They need someone who will actually sit with them in the hard stuff and help them figure out their own way through.
I work with adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, codependency, relationship struggles, and life transitions — including the ones nobody warned you about. I'm based in Mississippi and see all my clients via telehealth through Headway's platform, which means you get the same quality care from your living room that you'd get in any office.
Welcome to Dr. Grice Health, Mindfulness, & Wellness practice to address psychological mental health concerns.
If you're looking for answers, support, or simply hoping to feel more like yourself again, you've come to the right place. Life can feel overwhelming at times, whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood changes, or challenges that are difficult to put into words. Whatever brought you here, you'll be met with compassion, respect, and care that is centered around you.
My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. Together, we'll create a personalized plan that supports your mental health, your goals, and your journey toward feeling more like yourself again.
I’m Kanisha McKnight, MSN, APRN-PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping individuals regain stability, confidence, and emotional well-being. I have been a nurse 23 years working in various areas but mental health is my passion.
I am a licensed therapist with a Doctorate in Professional Counseling from Mississippi College and nearly 15 years of experience supporting individuals, families, children, and adolescents in both individual and group therapy settings. My clinical experience includes working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and behavioral health concerns across a wide variety of ages, backgrounds, and life circumstances. Two populations are especially close to my heart: children and adolescents experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges, and women healing from trauma. I understand how overwhelming these experiences can feel, and I am deeply committed to helping clients reclaim their strength, find hope, and move toward healing. I believe healing is possible for everyone, and I consider it an honor to be trusted as part of that journey.
