I am a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 2 years of advance psychiatric practice and a total of 15 years of experience in healthcare. I specialize in evidence-based care for adults living with anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, and life transitions, combining thoughtful medication management with practical strategies that help clients build a deeper understanding of their mental health.
In addition to my clinical practice, I am an author and whole-body wellness advocate. My book, BePurBold: A Woman's Journey to Whole Body Wellness, reflects my belief that lasting mental health is rooted in lifestyle, resilience, and whole-person well-being. My goal is to offer a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and active partners in their own care.
I believe that everyone deserves to be heard, regardless of their background or circumstances. Whether you are struggling with excessive worry or negative thoughts, overwhelmed by schoolwork as a student, supporting a family member with autism or developmental disability, or facing challenges as a member of a marginalized group in society, it is common to feel hopeless and worthless at times. However, you do not have to give in to these feelings.
I have been working with teens and young adults for over 20yrs, mostly in group homes. I specifically work with people who have experienced trauma and lived in foster care. I think it is important for you to have choice and control of your life, and that many systems and therapy have often not been helpful. I want to try something different.
I have 26 years of experience dealing with individuals, couples, families in therapy. We will work together to develop plans that are unique and right for you.
I am a down-to-earth, approachable therapist with over a decade of experience supporting teenagers, young adults, and their families. Many clients arrive hesitant about therapy but quickly find a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where they can talk about anything. I strive to be responsive to each person’s life experiences, including gender- and race-based toxic stress and trauma. I completed my training at Boston University and spent several years working with a multidisciplinary team at a safety-net hospital.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and art therapist who works with people navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, identity exploration, emotional highs and lows, and complicated relationships with alcohol or drugs.
My background in art therapy means there is always another way in when words feel like too much. Creative approaches are optional, but available for those who want them.
Outside of the office, I crochet, travel, go to concerts, and practice flow arts. That curiosity and creativity carries into how I work with clients.
Salem Black, who holds a Master’s degree in both Biomedical Anthropology and Social Work, has an extensive background in working with children and families. His academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, followed by a Master’s degree in Biomedical Anthropology from Binghamton University. This interdisciplinary approach provided him with a unique perspective on the intersection of behavioral patterns and public health.
My clinical degree is a Master of Science in Social Administration (MSSA, MSW equivalent) from Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio (2016). I completed my Master of Education in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) from University of Cincinnati (2016), and have experience as a provider of ABA services. I have a Doctorate in Behavioral Health from Arizona State University(2020).
I am a psychotherapist, licensed in Massachusetts and Vermont. I work with children/adolescents (8 years and older), and adults. I have experience working with individuals from a variety of cultural backgrounds. I specialize in working with clients who are experiencing issues with trauma/PTSD, divorce/separation, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, dual diagnosis, behavioral issues, family concerns and those who identify as LGBTQIA+. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) of Asian descent with over a decade of experience working with adults, children, families, and couples from a wide range of cultural and personal backgrounds. I'm deeply passionate about the mental health field and committed to providing trauma-informed care that honors each person's unique story and resilience. I believe in the power of connection, presence, and authenticity in the healing process. I also have a deep love for the outdoors and often incorporate nature into my work, as I find it to be a powerful and effective form of experiential therapy. Whether we're exploring your inner world or using elements of the natural world for grounding and reflection, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space for growth and healing.
I am an LICSW Clinical Social Worker with experience in helping those with depression, ADHD, anxiety, and trauma. I incorporate ACT, CBT, and DBT modalities into my work and am a trained EMDR therapist.
