My name is J.J. Mull -- I'm a clinical social worker and therapist in private practice. I trained and Smith College School for Social Work and received advanced training in psychoanalytic treatment at Cambridge Health Alliance through Harvard Department of Psychiatry. Since finishing my training, I have worked in a wide range of settings with people struggling with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, substance use disorders, significant trauma, and many other issues. In addition to my clinical work, I am a writer, poet, and researcher and have been a professor in the Masters in Social Work program at Smith College for 4 years.
I'm a Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over ten years of experience supporting children, teens, and families across community health and pediatric hospital settings. Much of my work has centered on adolescents, youth involved in the justice system, families navigating multiple systems of care, perinatal mental health, and end-of-life work. I also hold a certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C). Beyond direct clinical work, I've led program development and evaluation for initiatives serving LGBTQIA2S+ communities and Latinx and Indigenous youth. Before becoming a social worker, I worked as an Intervention Specialist, supporting middle and high school students with learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and significant mental health needs. Across all of this, one belief stays constant: you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with respect, curiosity, and genuine care.
Available this week for new patients! Thank you for being here and taking this important step toward your well-being. I know reaching out can feel daunting, and you are not alone on this journey. I will help you navigate it in a way that is motivating and freeing. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut with six years of experience supporting individuals on their mental health journeys. I am a bilingual English Spanish psychotherapist and clinical consultant in New York with extensive experience in outpatient mental health settings and in private practice. Relational trauma, dyadic work with parents and babies, life transitions like divorce, loss, coping with college related challenges and entering the workforce, and in general anxiety and depression have been at the core of my clinical work.
I'm a licensed psychotherapist who works with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and/or neurodivergent adults who have spent a lot of time trying to understand themselves, but still feel stuck in painful patterns. You may already know where your struggles come from, yet find that insight alone hasn't brought the relief, self-compassion, or change you're hoping for. I've been a therapist for 5 years, and my training in internal family systems (IFS) therapy and somatic approaches has helped clients move beyond insight, experience relief in the body, and feel more whole and connected to themselves, others, and the world around them.
I have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years, and have experience working with adults, children and families. I earned my Master's degree in 2023 in Clinical Psychology from Bridgewater State University. I have experience with many mental health diagnoses including depression, anxiety, PTSD, psychosis, and personality disorders. I love connecting with women and mothers and helping them to find their joy and peace.
If something feels off, heavy, or stuck, you're in the right place. I work with women navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, body image, emotional eating, addiction recovery, and major life changes including perimenopause and menopause. Together we build practical tools and self-compassion that create meaningful, lasting change. I'd love to help you figure out what's next.
Hello, and welcome. My name is Elisha Bernstein and I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 17 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges. I attended Simmons University in Social Work. Most of my clinical background is working in acute behavioral health needs.
Over the years, I have worked with folks of all ages and from all walks of life. What they all have in common is the desire to feel connected to others and feel that life is enriching, not depleting. If you are feeling depleted, for any number of reasons, I am here to support you and help you find what you need to be connected and enriched.
Greetings, I am an eleven-year Marine Corps veteran (2003 to 2014), experienced in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. My main approach is person centered with a spattering of CBT, ACT, and REBT. Feel free to chat with me a bit and see if we work well together. I am unable to hold in person sessions at this time as I am living in Georgia, but I do miss Boston and lived there from 2018 to 2024. I completed my master's in mental health counseling at Cambridge College in 2022, worked in a psychiatric hospital in a dual diagnosis role from 2022 to 2023, and moved on to community mental health where I worked as an outpatient clinician from 2023 to 2024, earning my licensure in December of that year. I took some time off from conducting therapeutic sessions due to a personal need. During that time, I worked with the Department of Social Services in South Carolina as a foster care case manager and later with a residential substance abuse treatment center at Johnson State Prison, Georgia. I am now back on the plate and ready to get back into hosting mental health therapy sessions remotely. Perhaps I will return to Massachusetts in the future.
