Wanting to help others has been a long-standing passion. In 2008 I was able to begin to actualize that passion and began my undergraduate in psychology and followed by a master's in social work. I am a very positive and optimistic person who balances the line between intuitive and logical, emotional and intellectual. I believe this is a great position to have as a therapist.

I have always enjoyed working with people. I have both a bachelors and master's in clinical social work. My experience over the past 30years includes working with grief, anxiety, depression, addiction/ recovery. I enjoy working with the military both active duty and veterans as I understand the military culture. You are not a diagnosis to me, but someone who has strengths that need to be bought to the surface.

I am a licensed clinical social worker experienced with 22 years of practice and a former connection with public safety as a First Responder. I have worked in a hospital, school, and clinical settings with groups, individuals, and families; all of which has imbedded in me a deep understanding of the challenges individuals and families face. As a dedicated therapist with a rich background in crisis intervention and community support, I bring a unique blend of experience and compassion to my work. I enjoy working with individual teens, adults, couples, and families around a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, ADHD, Spectrum, relationships, divorce, blended families, parenting, anger management, and low self-esteem; struggling with the challenges of everyday life. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process; where I assist in increasing self-awareness and personal strengths so there can be new perspectives gained while decreasing unwanted symptoms, and people can have a more meaningful life experience. I want to offer support, insight and compassion to help you cope with or overcome your challenges. I will work with you to facilitate positive change and the adoption of healthier attitudes and responses; you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone.

As a Doctor in Nursing Practice, I have been in healthcare for over ten years, which has prepared me to manage my patients with evidence-based treatment modalities. I bring compassion and commitment to my practice of caring for the holistic needs of my patients, which entails a comprehensive assessment and evaluation of the patient’s psychological, emotional, and physical well-being, also creating a plan of care that will optimize a favorable outcome in a realistic, goal-oriented length of time, with the patient’s buy-in.

I am a doctoral preparing psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. My goal is to provide individualized and family mental health treatment plans . I specialize in medication management in treating mood, anxiety, psychotic, and substance use disorders. In the past, I worked as an RN in a dual diagnosis inpatient psychiatric unit. Recently, I have working in an outpatient private practice.

I have been in private practice for over 24 years. I work with my clients to resolve past issues and work towards their present and future goals. I use a variety of skills to provide the best treatment for each client, including cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, hypnosis and strength based. I provide individual, couples and family therapy.

I am a single women with two grown beautiful daughters. I am a cat lady with two adorable cats who greet me at the door and sleep with me at night. I have been a therapist for many years and thoroughly enjoy getting to know people and witness their growth over time.
