Hello! I have been a clinical social worker for over 15 years. For a number of those years, I worked at Walter Reed National Military Medical center where I specialized in a wide range of mental health issues, including Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Grief and Loss, Sleep Problems, Relationship problems, and Work Stressors.

As a licensed psychotherapist (LCPC), I am committed to providing compassionate and effective mental health support to individuals seeking guidance and healing in a safe and nonjudgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration, as I believe in the inherent strength and resilience within each person. My background and experience in multiple cultures, helps me understand and effectively work with diversity. I have experience in community mental health centers, with a wide range of disorders. While I'm trained in several treatment modalities, I use Evidence Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques and tools. and the one best suited to the client's temperament including. I continually engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay abreast of the latest research and therapeutic approaches within the field of mental health.

I work with people who are living with depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizo-affective disorder, adjustment disorder or are going through difficulties and need assistance moving towards a better way of life. I enjoy working with people to manage symptoms, stress and the everyday challenges of dealing with a mental health issue.

In my spare time I enjoy art, creativity, music, dance, acting and writing. I work with crystals, candles, oracle cards, but am also grounded in science. I do a lot of mindfulness.

I am a member of the MAMCD, the Maryland Association of Multicultural Counseling and Development as well as MASERVIC, the Maryland Association of Spiritual, Ethical, Religious Values in Counseling.

Meeting clients where they are is my specialty. I have extensive experience and training working with survivors of trauma and clients who are facing grief and loss. I offer space for holistic approaches that clients embrace and utilize beyond therapy, and encourage them to grow and heal.
