Hello! I am Mary Tobias and honored to work with you on embracing who you are and where you want to go on this journey. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist/Counselor that specializes in assisting clients learn how to relate better to yourself and others. I am able to work with all socioeconomic statuses, ages, races, and anyone who has experienced any sort of mental health challenges. I the times on my schedule do not fit into your schedule, message me and I will try to accommodate when possible.

Throughout my career, I've worked with individuals facing some of life's most difficult challenges, from active addiction and recovery to anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. I believe meaningful change is possible when therapy is grounded in honesty, practical solutions, and a strong therapeutic relationship.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have a MSW in social work and a BA in Psyhcology with a minor in African American studies. My educational background and career include extensive work with transitional age youth, teens, children and families and other disenfranchised populations.

I have a Masters degree in Professional Counseling and am credential by The National Board of Certified Counselors. My professional background is in trauma recovery and forensic psychology, meaning I have approached trauma on from both ends of the spectrum. There is little I haven't seen or heard clinically. This allows me to remain open minded, and has given me the knowledge and experience to provide a safe, supportive space for exploration.

When I think of myself as a Counselor, I envision providing unconditional positive regard and "Good Old Fashion" Southern Louisiana Hospitality to clients. Based on the client's individualized needs, I practice the eclectic approach to guide them through the healing process.

I am Tamiko Brown, a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in Anxiety, Depression, and Spiritual Counseling. As a native of Bunkie, LA, I mostly enjoy serving others. I received a BS in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry and Biology and a Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University of Louisiana.
