I am a clinically licensed and board certified therapist specializing in attachment based therapy. I view your struggles through an attachment-based, trauma-informed lens. Early relationships shape the ways we experience ourselves, connect with others, and respond to closeness, conflict, and vulnerability. While these patterns often develop as adaptive responses to our early environments, they can persist into adulthood long after they are no longer serving us. Therapy provides an opportunity to understand these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment and to begin creating new ways of relating.
Whether you're dealing with life stressors, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to balance. We'll use a whole self approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit to help you develop a stronger relationship with yourself. Seeking therapy can feel scary, but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow.
I am a Senior Clinician with experience supporting children, adolescents, and families in school-based settings. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and understood. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, emotional regulation, family conflict, and school-related challenges. My goal is to help clients build confidence, healthy coping skills, and emotional resilience.
Although I am recently clinically licensed (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, LCPC), I am not new to the mental health field. Over my nearly decade of fulfilling work, I have enjoyed 5 years in therapeutic school settings with youth ages 5-years-old to 19-years-old, navigating crises through a therapeutic and trauma-informed lens as an Employee Assistant Program (EAP) counselor and through certifications in both Crisis Prevention Intervention and Therapeutic Crisis Prevention and Intervention models, supporting parents and families through a guardian support group for children in the therapeutic school setting as a facilitator for the past 3 years, and obtaining a Level 1 Certification in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) through the Yale Child Study Center. As a result of my success in treating students and families who are impacted by school avoidance/refusal, I was selected to present to parents about concrete strategies, and was consulted in the development of a school avoidance/school refusal school response protocol. Additionally, an anti-racism intervention I co-created for students on the spectrum and their families is now used as a resource and response to school incidents involving racism. My training began with a Bachelor’s in Social Worker from the University of Cincinnati, and ended with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
I have worked with young people and their families with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, academic, and social needs. I bring a multiculturally-aware, strengths-based approach to therapy and common work with individuals on the neurodivergence spectrum, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, diagnoses of Attention Hyperactivity Deficit Disorder, anxiety, depression, Pathological Demand Avoidance, learning disabilities, gender and sexuality, and parent support and coaching.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of professional experience supporting children and families. Throughout my career, I have primarily worked with school-age children and their families, helping them navigate emotional, behavioral, and life challenges with compassion and practical guidance.
I am a clinical psychologist licensed in California and Illinois, and can see clients from both states. I support clients with variety of mental health conditions such as mood disorders, relationships issues, addictions, stress management, sport and performance psychology and health behaviors, trauma, insomnia and eating disorders. My therapy style is personable, connected, focused, and attuned.
Sometimes the hardest part of a life transition is figuring out who you are in the middle of it. I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationships, family changes, and the major transitions that can reshape how you see yourself. As a bilingual and bicultural therapist, I also understand how culture, family, and identity can shape our experiences. Whether you're raising children, entering midlife, becoming an empty nester, or simply feeling ready for something to change, you don't have to navigate it alone.
My therapeutic style is to ask a lot of questions and really try to find the answers to what is bothering you. In our sessions, you will cry, laugh, talk excessively or talk a little. Our sessions will be all about you and what you need in the moment. I want our sessions to be a safe place for you to be comfortable. Bring your treats and your tissues. Bring your patience and your strength. We will be together and I will support you when you are feeling weak. Usually, I see what makes you special first. You will need to tell me what is wrong.
Life can be difficult, but remember you have the power to change it. Your journey is not dictated by your circumstances but rather by how you interpret them and react to them. Over the years, I have helped may people change the direction of their lives. A little insight into your true feelings and emotions can help shift things for you in a major way. I have assisted with general stress from day-to-day life, anxiety, trauma, adhd , marital problems and achieving a work life balance.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Illinois and New York. I received my Masters in Social Work from New York University and have been practicing for over 10 years. Welcome. Seeking therapy is a meaningful step, and I believe you deserve a space where you can feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that people have the capacity to heal, grow, and build lives that feel more manageable and fulfilling. I am Juton and I am a clinically licensed professional with over 15 years of experience providing crisis intervention, grief support, behavioral health services, clinical practice support, and training for helping professionals. My professional background includes work with individuals facing acute stress, life transitions, loss, emotional overwhelm, relationship concerns, and the effects of demanding work or caregiving roles. I work with adults who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, grief and bereavement, adjustment challenges, trauma-related stress, low self-esteem, or difficulty managing major changes in their lives. I am especially passionate about supporting people in high-stress helping professions, including healthcare workers, first responders, educators, caregivers, and behavioral health professionals. I would be honored to support you on that journey.
If you're an adult navigating anxiety, depression, or relationship stress — and maybe feeling like
no one quite understands where you're coming from — you're in the right place. I've been
practicing for 15 years across community and clinical settings, working with adults and older
adults on mood, relationships, and the weight of everyday life. I'm bilingual in English and
Spanish, and having lived abroad myself, I genuinely enjoy working with people from a wide
range of cultural backgrounds. You don't have to explain your world to me — I'm here to
understand it.
I am passionate about helping people! Everyone wants to be heard and valued. My approach as a counselor is to build a strong therapeutic relationship with you in a nonjudgmental space. I will demonstrate consistent empathy towards your feelings and struggles while verbalizing positive regard and validating you. I believe thoughts (positive & negative) have strong influences on emotions and as well as behaviors. I believe that answers to life’s difficulties are within each of us

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in Illinois
Searching for therapists in Illinois starts with finding the right clinical fit for your needs. Illinois has a wide range of therapists across urban and rural areas, so available specialties may vary by location. You might look for support with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, trauma, or major life changes. As you compare Illinois therapists, review each therapist’s listed specialties, therapy approach, and experience with concerns like yours. Some therapists may use approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, or eye movement desensitization and reprocessing.
Practical fit matters, too. If you live in Chicago, Springfield, Peoria, or another part of Illinois, consider whether in-person or virtual sessions work better for your schedule and location. A therapist with evening virtual appointments may be a better match if travel time is hard to plan, while an office near home or work may matter more if you prefer in-person care. You can also narrow your search by appointment availability, whether a therapist is accepting new patients, whether they offer a free phone consultation, and how they describe their communication style. Reading therapist bios before booking can help you understand what sessions may be like.
The cost of Illinois therapy can vary, and using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs. Headway helps you search for licensed therapists who are accepting new patients, verify your insurance, and see your estimated out-of-pocket cost before you book. Nationally, Headway works with over 100 insurance plans, and your exact coverage depends on your plan and location. You can browse therapists, review bios, compare availability, and book directly when you’re ready.
