I’m a doctorate-prepared, dual board-certified family practice and psychiatric mental health provider specializing in neurodevelopmental and neurocognitive conditions, with expertise in autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and geriatric psychiatry. I have extensive experience with complex chronic illness and co-occurring psychiatric conditions across the lifespan and in diverse clinical settings. My background in executive leadership and long-term care administration also informs my work within institutional settings. I have a longstanding interest in complementary, integrative, and holistic approaches to health. My practice is neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTQ+ inclusive.
Hello, my name is Amanda Grippi. I am a licensed counselor in both Missouri and Illinois. I earned my Master's degree from Southern Illinois University with a focus in community psychology and I have been in practice for over 20 years. In addition to helping people with Anxiety and Depression, I have advanced training in neurodivergence including ADHD and Autism as well as trauma. I also have extensive experience working with members who identify as LGBTQ+.
I believe therapy should be a place where you don’t have to have it all together. Many of my clients are high-achieving professionals who are used to being the “strong one” for everyone else, but privately struggle with relationships, boundaries, confidence, or life transitions. I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where you can show up authentically, gain insight into patterns that no longer serve you, and build healthier relationships with yourself and others. I especially enjoy working with Black women and LGBTQ+ adults and strive to create an affirming, culturally responsive space where clients can show up fully as themselves.
I graduated with my MSW in 2018 from the University of Southern California. I have 8 years of experience in social work. I have worked in a number of environments including; in home therapeutic services designed to smooth transition from children coming out of state care or working with families to ensure they build the skills to stay together after court intervention, school social work at the high school level, and individual therapy working with youth and adolescents, and working with adults who have found life transitions difficult such as a sudden loss or change.
