I am Mira Iheme, Ph.D., a doctoral-level clinician with over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to helping clients navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.

My therapeutic approach is solution-focused, collaborative, and strengths-based, grounded in the belief that every individual has the capacity for growth and healing. I am known for my energetic, highly positive, and optimistic style, which helps foster a supportive and empowering therapeutic environment. I work actively with clients to identify goals, develop practical strategies, and move toward improved emotional well-being and life satisfaction.

I am passionate about meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them as they progress on their personal wellness journey. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist and a Christian Life Coach since 2015, I believe change is very possible. I have been a part of Atlanta’s professional community for over 28 years. My education from Mercer University (a CACREP approved school) with additional experience in intensive marriage and family mediation. I interned with Kathy Steele, an expert on complex trauma, dissociation, and other related issues. I focus on person centered therapy and solution focused. I offer cerified EMDR. Divorce and rentering the dating world is something I have spend years in assisting women.

I am dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care across the lifespan. I hold a master’s degree in nursing with specialized training in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and medication management, as well as psychotherapy.

My practice focuses on treating a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, addiction recovery and perinatal mental health concerns. I integrate a client-centered approach that may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), supportive counseling, and lifestyle interventions alongside medication when appropriate.

What led me to become a therapist...

When I was a child, my mother taught me a poem called “Children Learn What They Live.” It had a big influence on me – so much so that I knew at age 15 that I wanted to work with kids.

When I was a junior in college, the unimaginable happened, as I lost my teenaged brother. That tragedy affected me profoundly, igniting a passion for turning life’s lemons into lemonade.

I had a mission: to help people who are suffering but don’t know how to change it.
