Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed or unsure how to move forward? You're not alone, and finding the right support can make all the difference. I’m Dr. Alex Kohl, and I’ve spent over a decade helping people like you navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Human Services, I completed Certified Peer Specialist training during the semester break from my Master's program. I earned my Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. My practicum and career thus far has been in a residential program setting that means I've worked with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) ranging from mood disorders, personality disorders, trauma, OCD, and thought disorders.
I grew up in Georgia and attended Georgia State University for both my bachelor's degree in psychology and my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at Georgia State University. On my leisure time, I exercise, I play sports, and I enjoy doing obstacles races. People often describe me as trustworthy, approachable and kind.

Relationships can sometimes feel like you are speaking two different languages. You both love each other but argue about the smallest things. Feeling like you have to raise your voice just to be heard? Then feeling hurt because you are still misunderstood?
This is common for many couples. I can help give you the tools you need to really talk to each other again. To redirect that passion in a healthy direction and teach you how to truly rediscover each other!
Welcome. I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you or your child are carrying big emotions, past experiences, or relationship stress. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and supported as you begin this process.
Sometimes the hardest part of therapy is showing up before you even know what you want out of it. If you're feeling stuck, frustrated, or like something needs to change but you can't quite name what, that's exactly where we start. I work with teens, adults, and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, anger, and the kind of life experiences that feel too big to sort out alone. You don't need to come in with clear goals. We'll figure that out together.
My names is Vashawn Mosley. I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). I also have a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. I have greater than 16 years working in mental health, with greater than 5 years working as a PMHNP.
You may look like you have it together, but inside you feel exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious, or trapped in your own thoughts. You replay conversations, struggle to quiet your mind at night, or carry experiences you rarely talk about. You've learned to keep functioning while bearing the weight of it all. As someone who has been on the other side of the badge and now serves as a licensed clinician, I understand what it means to bring difficult experiences home with you. When accustomed to being strong for everyone else, therapy can be where you finally take care of yourself. Let me help you quiet the spiral and reclaim your life.
As a former law enforcement officer, licensed clinical social worker, and current children’s social worker, I bring both professional training and real-world-experiences to therapy. I understand that asking for help can make it uncomfortable-especially for people who are accustomed to being the one others depend on.
