I’m Jonathan Del Valle, LCSW, a bilingual English and Spanish psychotherapist trained in EMDR. I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, identity, and major life changes. I have a special interest in working with LGBTQIA+ and Latino communities, and my approach is warm, conversational, culturally responsive, and centered on helping you feel comfortable being yourself in therapy.

I am a seasoned professional continuing to study and learn the most impactful ways to lessen human suffering and promote self love in all. Beginning my practice decades ago as a combat trauma therapist, I have found myself dealing with the traumas of early life and relationships with most my adolescent and adult clients. I believe counseling can offer many “tools”, to cope, however, I prefer to help people heal so that coping becomes an infrequent need.

After spending 12 years working in the legal field, having 3 children, and ensuring my son with special needs had the support he needed to reach his potential, which he did beautifully, I decided to follow my (other) passion. Went back to school in 2016 to earn my Masters in Social Work, which allowed me to follow my dream - helping people find their voice, their identify, their peace, their power and their ability to grow.
