I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in behavioral health across diverse clinical settings including inpatient psychiatry, outpatient care, long term care, and telehealth. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, mood disorders, life transitions, burnout, and the emotional challenges that can come with balancing multiple roles and responsibilities.

I am Dr. Stephanie Couyoute, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Avenmind Health Group. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University and bring more than 15 years of healthcare experience, including critical care, outpatient psychiatry, inpatient child and adolescent care, and older adult mental health. I provide virtual psychiatric evaluations and medication management for clients ages 16 and older experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related symptoms, sleep difficulties, stress, grief, and other mental health concerns.

I specialize in adult ADHD, LGBTQIA+ identities, substance use, and mood disorders. I love what I do, and I bring that passion to the therapy space for every session. I try to integrate a warm and approachable style using authenticity, humor, and empathy.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I have an educational background of school counseling and as a teacher. I enjoy helping clients realize their potential while prioritizing their mental health. My counseling focus is with adolescents to adult-aged clients.

I am experienced in addressing eating disorders, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and trauma. I have assisted those with substance use challenges, and people simply ready to make some changes. I am a supportive, compassionate counselor and am ready to process your thoughts and feelings with you, to help you live the life you want to live.

My areas of expertise are family, social and interpersonal conflict, parenting, depression, anxiety, sexual identity concerns, academic challenges, anger issues, low self-confidence, esteem and past traumatic experiences.
