On the outside, you may look like you have everything together. You work hard, provide for your family, and carry responsibilities well. Yet internally, you may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, angry, or caught in the same patterns despite your best efforts to change. My practice is built for people who are ready to move beyond simply talking about their problems. Together, we’ll identify the underlying beliefs, emotional patterns, and coping strategies that keep you feeling stuck. Therapy becomes a place to develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, healthier relationships, and lasting change.
A therapist passionate about helping children, teens, and young adults navigate the challenges of growing up in a complex world. My approach is warm, patient, and collaborative, I believe that building genuine trust is the foundation of meaningful change.
In my work with young people, I focus on creating a safe, supportive space where they can express themselves freely and feel understood. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, family stress, or identity concerns, I meet each client where they are with empathy and respect. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques to help clients understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and build confidence in themselves.
When working with children and teens, I also value partnering with parents and caregivers, helping families strengthen communication, connection, and understanding. My goal is to empower each young person to recognize their strengths, navigate challenges, and develop the tools they need to thrive—both now and in the future.
Clients often describe me as calm, relatable, and easy to talk to. I believe therapy should feel like a supportive conversation that sparks growth, resilience, and self-discovery.
If you or your child are struggling to manage big emotions, adjust to life changes, or find a sense of direction, I’m here to help you take the next step toward healing and balance.
I am an EMDR certified therapist (with 20 years of clinical mental health experience) in providing care to adult and adolescent clients with varied presenting issues. I currently serve adult professionals and their families struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, first responder care, including services to medical professionals, individuals who struggles with postpartum depression/anxiety, work stressors as well as holistic integrative health and wellness coaching. I practice from an integrative/eclectic model, with emphasis in EMDR, DBT, Cognitive behavioral (CBT) and Mindfulness Based approaches (MBCT), Motivational interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
I completed my graduate degree in clinical psychology with a concentration in mental health counseling. During my graduate degree, I completed an internship at a sexual assault treatment center, which included specialty rotations providing counseling to survivals of sexual assault, working in crisis intervention, engaging children through play therapy, and providing counseling to child and adult survivors of abuse. I also completed clinical work at Women in Distress and extensive advance training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders with Postpartum Support International (PSI). In my work, I pride myself on providing holistic compassionate care to adult professionals and addressing all aspects of an individual's life (including biological, psychosocial, physical and spiritual health). In addition to my mental health licensure, I also hold a Registered Nurse degree with specialty in psych nursing and medical case management (CCM). I have worked in the behavioral health field since 2006 (in both outpatient clinic and inpatient medical and psychiatric unit).
