Life can look successful on the outside while feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck on the inside. I work with adults, especially men, as well as boys and teens navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, questions of identity or purpose, and the pressures of work, school, or family life. Together we'll better understand what's keeping you stuck and build a path toward greater clarity, connection, and lasting change.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time outdoors, riding my horses, and being with my family. These activities help me stay grounded and connected to what matters most in life. I value balance, authenticity, and meaningful relationships, and I bring those same values into my work with clients. I strive to create a welcoming, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and working toward their goals.
My name is Glen Alan Ensinger. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado. I lived in Colorado for over 1 year and was licensed last March. I have been licensed as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois since 2002. I have provided crisis counseling and domestic violence counseling for perpetrators and victims. I completed my master's degree at Western Illinois University which included a practicum and internship at White Oaks in Peoria, Illinois. This is a substance abuse program. I have worked at a school for children with behavioral problems and also have provided counseling and crisis services at a community mental health center. For approximately 10 years I was on clinical staff for the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, Illinois where I provided counseling services for clients in the HIV program. I worked over 8 years at the 9th Judicial Court in Illinois as a court services therapist. I have a private practice that includes working for programs that helped children either get adopted or return home from the foster care program (or help parents get the children returned to them). My primary work has been with families, couples and children. I use dialectical behavioral therapy, rational emotive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and general Rogerian therapy to help people live more successful lives.
At the heart of therapy is a simple, powerful goal: change. Whether you are looking to quiet anxiety, lift the weight of depression, or navigate the complexities of trauma, you are on a unique path toward your best life. While I can’t make those changes for you, I am deeply committed to walking alongside you. With compassion, dedication, and hard work, we will forge a path that helps you actualize the lasting growth you deserve.
I am a multi-state licensed therapist across California, Colorado, Iowa, Nebraska, and Texas, specializing in helping adults navigate deep-seated mental health challenges alongside intense personal and professional transitions.
With vast clinical experience, I have served as a university career counselor, a specialist for healthcare professionals, and a dedicated clinician within both the US Navy Family Advocacy Program and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
My practice provides a highly supportive, practical space for college students, working adults at all career stages, healthcare workers, service members, Veterans, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
I blend empathetic listening with deep clinical insight to help you manage and heal from:
Core Mental Health & Neurodivergence:
Anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and identity exploration.
Trauma & Life Impact:
Complex trauma, PTSD, grief, loss, and managing chronic medical conditions.
Daily Survival:

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in Colorado and Texas, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington, with years of experience supporting individuals through life's challenges. I'm based in Fort Collins, CO and work with clients virtually — so you can connect with me from wherever you feel most at ease.
